Quality Inn is definitely NOT what i would call this place. Rubbish from previous guests had not been removed, furniture and carpets and finishing are damaged through out. Towel rack was broken, in one bathroom and one bathrooms toilet moved around and wasnt grouted into the floor properly. We asked to use the pools, to which we were given a swipe card that didnt work, and got locked out. Pools area was also a mess, you couldnt use any bbq facilities. Reception staff leave premises after 5ish, and I really question the security. But wont say why here, to protect future guests. The locks also get jammed, took us like 10 minutes to get the key out the door. Airconditioning made the whole place smell really bad, so i suspect the filters have not been cleaned in them in a while. The only thing i will give the place the okay for, is the size the rooms and apartments are decent. If you dont care about the state or smell of a place. It works fine for the location. Close to Places like the Manning bar for shows. Id just bring some glen 20 or something. Safety: Really stress about the safety and communication. Building is easily accessible off the street, even after hours. with No reception staff on. And some othwr reasons i wont mention, as to not give anyone ideas.
If you want to stay somewhere nice, don’t stay here. We checked in, room wasn’t ready, got “upgraded” to a two bedroom suite. The suite looked like student accommodation with stains on the lounge and floor, missing light fittings, a mouldy water damaged ceiling. The room had a cigarette smell and looked out at the dirty pool. We checked out again. When I asked for a refund the receptionist didn’t even ask why. She knew why. Would not recommend.
Location was convenient, unfortunately that’s were the positives stop. Our room was old and dingy. There was mould in the bathroom and laundry. The fridge did not work properly either, was leaking. Carpet was worn and torn. No bulbs in the lamps ! Exiting the car park was a challenge to. After negotiating all the discarded junk in the car park we had to exit the car and go to the outside fob to open. The internal one was non functional! All in all it will be the last time. Go and stay down the road at the Best Western. The owners of ‘quality’ apartments Camperdown, and I have to use the word quality loosely have no pride in there accomodation at all .
Do not book with this hotel - when checking in we were advised that our hotel had been cancelled one week prior to arrival and they had ‘forgot’ to let us know. We had travelled from Brisbane to stay here for the weekend and were then stuck paying twice the amount for another hotel as it was a long weekend and therefore very limited vacancies in Sydney. The staff were not helpful at all and did not even apologise or seem to even care.
Service has been wonderful. The young girl at the reception was kind and welcoming. The room is clean and location was easy to find.Rooms: 5/5
dont stay here!!! smelly dirty rooms, air conditioner didnt work, no flyscreens on windows, noisy clanky fan, advertised King bed and paid for... it was a queen mattress on a double base! the bathroom had mould everywhere... rubbish bags left outside of lift, security door left open all night! was charged $5 for using a card to pay . Was supposedly given $35 refund for aircon not working...then noticed only given $25. THIS IS NOT A 4 star hotel.....they are dreaming...about a 2
Handy location and good parking. 2 room apartment very spacious with good facilities but not maintained very well.- was upgraded from single room motel style where microwave didn't work, bathroom tap constantly running, safe didn't work, no kitchen sink or stove advertised and front door lock was in bad repair door soft and broken from past impact. 2 room apartment had same problem with front door lock and living room ceiling very badly damaged from rain - looked like repaired by the cleaner. Could be a top notch stay - if only they would fix things properly. Friendly staff but must be embarrassed working for the owner.
Location was very good and the apartment was a good size but it was not clean at all and very dated. The shower had to run for 15 minutes before any hot water came out at all, the bedcovers had brown stains on them, and under the bedsheets we found a used Band-Aid and a vape. Rooms obviously not serviced regularly if ever. Has potential but needs renovation and a new cleaning team!
Sadly these appartments need a total update. We had a 4 night bkg..in 2 bed appt. Leaky , smelly bathrooms, no cleaning....supposedly due to staff shortages. Meant to be every 3 days ??had to ask for clean towels and products...TV was useless..even when replaced???.. Although close to the city it badly needs work. Will probably not stay here again and would not recommend. No fault of emoyees who were polite andhelpful when they could be located.
Very convenient location near Newtown. Large apartments with parking on-site and a bbq / pool area. Will return next time our team travels to Sydney!
