Still the same after 16 years! It’s been that long since my last visit. The tables have changed from round to square, but the pizzas and pasta hold true!! They’ve changed their name to Portugalia— but still have the Adam’s Special in the menu!!
My first Portuguese food in my life and it was more than amazing! Especially Cabidela had good vinegar sour, but mild taste, and very rich flavor. Honestly when my boyfriend told me about this food, i was a little bit worried.. as I had never tried any food with blood. But i was impressed! Friendly stuff, good service : We’ll definitely come back.
Pizza like we used to get in the 80s. If you like the traditional style we grew up with this is for you. Good value and friendly staff. Will be back
I understand food costs have increased. However, I think it’s not fair to charge people extra and not let them know that prices have increased - compared to the menu prices. Bad form bad form. Again understand we may have to pay a little bit extra. I let the lady know that the price on her website was less than she was charging. She went really. Nodded and still charged me extra. Obviously they didn’t care. Pizza was okay but given the price increase there are other options.
Lovely little cozy restaurant .. outstanding customer service by the young lady there, food is clean and very delicious .. loved our pizza would've loved a little more cheese and hot hand cut chips on the side !! Check out the photos :
The pizza is okay. Not bad but not great. However, $25 bucks for an average size pizza, we are happy to travel further for something special. Oh, $7-8.0 for a bottle of Stillwater is ridiculous. The same bottle is $1.75 at the supermarket. I understand you need to make a markup, but that is robbery. We don’t dine out as often as we used to so have become a little more picky. Rightly or wrongly, when looking for value, taste and experience there are several better options to consider.
Quiet Thursday night... we walk in because we see a coffee machine and everything else around the area is closed. We ask one of the employees if they sell coffee, he says yes. Then when we're about to order the owner tells us "Look if you're coming to sit down and eat I will make you coffee, I'm not making coffee for takeaway." Very rude. We were actually considering ordering pizza as well, but after that attitude, we just walked out. No wonder why your restaurant was empty.
Seems like a lovely little pizzeria. Unfortunately I called ahead ordered a gluten free pizza, waited 25 minutes, walked over to pick it up and they didn't have any gluten free bases. I think they'd sold out. They didn't have gf pasta either. They did however have fish and chips, although not coeliac friendly. The place seems very old school. I'd have a guess their food is really good and traditional. Friends got pizza's and they looked good: thin base, decent toppings. Sadly, won't be back. Staff seemed nice enough.
Popped in recently when the pub was full and were pleasantly surprised. Don't be mislead by the decor - the pizza is amazingly good. It was fresh, tasty and one of the best crusts I ever had. Will definitely be back.
A quiet low-key place with the greatest pizza ever! This place just got new owners. Previous owners were really good, and the place was recommended to me are the best pizza in town. But I must admit, the new owners make even better pizza. The place deserves a big following, but somehow remains quiet and known only by locals. I feel that the small upgrade in interior to make the space more suited for dining would make a big difference. But saying this, the place is super clean, smells nice, is in convenient location with easy parking, and definitely has a charm of a simple life.
