I was not very impressed with the service offered. I has a set of lights fitted by Active Gear as part of my new car. The wiring diagram for these lights was not followed and the wrong sized relays and fuses were fitted causing malfunctions in the lights that became a safety issue and I was no longer able to use the lights. After a 2.5 hr trip back into Rockhampton for them to fix the issue I still had to provide them with the wiring diagram and tell them what needed fixing. There was also no consideration to the fact that I had a 5 hr round trip to fix their poor fitment.

Purchased a pair of mounts to mount my light bar to the bullbar, one of the staff members (Not the trainee) measured the size of the bullbar pipe and sold me the "so called" correct size mounts, when I went to fit the mounts the nylock nut and bolt supplied with the mounts bound up in the thread a nut length through the nut and before it had tightened all the way ( NOT CROSSED THREADED) and to top it off the mounts were the wrong size, I tried everything to remove the nut & bolt without success and It was becoming clear that the only option was to cut it off, I went back to Active Gear to show them only to be given attitude, be treated like it was my fault and to be treated like I had no idea of what I was talking about or doing and to constantly be told that I had cross threaded it, if they had listened and looked they would have seen. Then the owner Percey then cut it off my car with an angle grinder and sprayed sparks all over my bullbar and car and when I objected I was told to get out of the way, so when the rust spots appear I'll be back to see them, I was given my money back which I was happy about, Percey then verbally attacked the trainee employee in front of me for stuffing up the mount sizing when it wasn't him who had sold them to me in the first place, don't know how anybody could work for a boss like that. I am still waiting for a phone call firstly to inform me when the correct mounts will be arriving and secondly to tell me they have arrived, I have called and inquired several times and was told they will call me back, BUT still waiting. I am a qualified mechanical fitter and have had many years as a truck driver so this is not my first rodeo, I have purchased a large amount of products from this business over the years for two vehicles and even though I have had questionable service before and some small issues I continued to deal with them because they are a small local business, but NO MORE, this has done me, never again will I do business with Active Gear Rockhampton and I will tell anyone I know the same, and they wonder why people don't buy local and businesses go broke. PS. Don't bother with the mounts Active Gear I have purchased them elsewhere.

Percy and the crew have all the right gear for my 4x4 and they also maintain my BT50. The service is excellent and they go the extra mile to ensure their customers are always satified. I would recommend anyone looking for 4 X 4 gear and maintenance of their vehicle to contact Percy and the crew at Active Auto Gear.

Have been going to AGR for over 10 years for service and accessories. Great staff, friendly service and a wealth of knowledge. Highly recommend.
