Amazing. I seriously do NOT know what people are saying other than 5***** for this facility. Book your appointment, turn up on time, I renewed my drivers licence in less than 3 minutes from the time I walked through the door, and that included having my photo taken twice. Exceptional from ACT Government here.nnIt is not their fault if you are clueless and unable to plan your visit/find the address.
I would say that their services are the best in Canberra. Maybe because you need to make an appointment so they are not really in a rush to kick you out. Instead, most of them have really attentive and friendly attitude; trying their best to help and solve the issues. I’ve been there for 5 times in the last few years. Each time I was treated with respect and courtesy. I got what I needed from them but other service centres were long waiting time and slack attitude.
So, I finally find this place despite the hidden signage. I managed to find a car park, that is another story that involves quite a bit of swearing.nnI am waiting in the foyer and a woman wanted to go into the access centre and the security guard or whatever he was said she needed to book an appointment using the QR code printed on the poster that he was standing next too...do they actually see the insanity of the system they have created?nnAnyway, once I was inside the sacred room they scanned my ID and took a photograph of me so they could prove who I was.nnWhen sitting at the counter I noticed 2 stickers 'be kind' and ' violence is not part of the job' I was thinking to myselfn1. I hate being told how to behaven2. Maybe if you changed the way you provided the services, treated people as a person rather than an annoyance people would be less frustrated.
Absolute joke of a place, rang government switchboard and give the address to organise transport tickets. Arrived to find they don’t do the and to travel another 15mins to another office. The most disorganised and unhelpful place to tavel as a tourist
I had a low expectation after reading the review online but it was actually very simple and fast. The staff was kind and helpful. I spent 15 minutes there and I received the requested document in 5 days.
