Story

Following hot on the heels of the successful launch of the first Academy - Modern Cafe Culture in Claremont - we're excited to announce a second venue, in Mt Hawthorn.

Academy - Modern Cafe Culture - will open at The Mezz (148 Scarborough Beach Road) on Monday 13/6/16.

After all, many of the top academies operating around the world have venues in more than one location. Feedback from patrons of the Academy's flagship in Claremont tells us that we are doing a lot right, so we're spreading the love.

The mandate isn't changing. Academy aims to make the best, educated choices and to set the highest standards in achieving pure cafe excellence.

Head chef Enrico (Eric) Puzon will lead the talented kitchen and will strive to find new creative and flavoursome ways to excite your palettes - for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“As we set forth on this bold new venture, we’re delighted to have the opportunity to open ACADEMY MOUNT HAWTHORN," said Academy owner Soroush Ebtash.

Enrico will emulate Academy Claremont's chef to the stars, award-winning Jay Tesorero, promising to think outside the box. Eric brings his own unique experiences, having been a leader in the kitchens of Royal Caribbean cruise liner overseeing at times 250 chefs while sailing the high seas... He is already known to some WA's foodies, having also spent time in different kitchens around Perth in recent years.
