We are belong, located in two venues, and proud to deliver opportunities for enhanced well-being and social and economic inclusion to people residing across the Southside of Brisbane and neighbouring local government areas.

Story

We have recently adopted 'belong' as our new name as we are now delivering services and programs to people and communities far beyond our base in Acacia Ridge.

belong (formerly Acacia Ridge Community Support Inc.) has been delivering services to the community for almost 25 years. We are a team that shares a belief that communities are strengthened and positive when the most vulnerable are supported and included in all aspects of life. belong is proud to provide place-based support and welcome through our two community spaces: The vibrant Acacia Ridge Community Centre, and our new base at The Social Space in Moorooka.

Our headquarters at the Acacia Ridge Community Centre is open to the community Monday - Friday from 9.00 am until 2.00 pm, and until 4.30 pm by booked appointment only on (07) 3277 4893.

Both locations also include spaces available to to hire by the community.

Mission

To provide safe and welcoming spaces where the community feels comfortable to come and access the assistance they need

To provide comprehensive, relevant and easy to access community services to residents across the Southside of Brisbane via direct service provision or partnerships

To build the capacity of Indigenous, CaLD and all local communities

To provide opportunities for community members to grow and engage in the broader community

To have happy, healthy and harmonious staff, volunteers, management committee and members

To increase and maintain the sustainability and viability of the organisation to ensure long-term service provision
