I completed the Padi Open Water Dive Certificate with Abyss and absolutely loved it! My initial nervousness of diving was quick put to bed by the fantastic team at Abyss. We had Jordan as our instructor who was a great teacher, very funny and made sure our group understood the skills and could complete them properly. I felt very safe with Jordan there teaching us.  Because of this course after just two days I now feel confident that I could go on a dive with some friends. All of the other instructors seemed equally as impressive as well. After the pool/ skills session we completed 4 dives and saw 2 sharks, sea horses, lots of sting rays and other fish. The whole experience was amazing and left us buzzing for more.  Abyss provided a very professional course and are very inclusive. I look forward to going back to do more dives with them in the near future. I highly recommend for anyone who is interested!

I went for a weekend dive trip with Abyss lately. The trip organizer Bo is well organized. He was looking after everyone during all three dives and assisted us to check in the accommodation smoothly. For our first dive, the swell was mild, water temperature was 23 degree, the visibility was unbelieveable-25m! Sounds like heaven, right? We saw blue gropers, rays and of course the cute seals! The overall experience was great, highly recommend their dive trips.

I booked private guide session with Abyss because I was still nervous and no confidence to dive with big group at weekend right after I competed OW course.  Private guide session provides detail review of basic knowledge and more attention. It made me feel safe and bring back the confidence specially to the people, like myself, who do not have open water experience.  The entire journey was so great and my instructor Bo is very patient and made me relaxed after seeing ocean fishes.  I was very enjoyable and surprised my nervousness seems has gone to the wind.  Thanks Bo! Thanks Abyss. I will come back!

My wife and I had three great days of diving with Abyss Scuba Diving.  We always dive with Abyss when passing through Sydney and we have never been disappointed.  We did a combination of guided shore dives and boat dives and all were lots of fun.  James and Jordan were our guides and they showed us the things that we came to see, such as Weedy Sea Dragons, Eastern Blue Devils, Wobbegongs, Port Jackson Sharks and tons of various Nudibranchs and Sea Slugs, among other things.  We could not have asked for anything more.  Everyone at the shop and the boat were friendly and supportive and Jordan even did an emergency repair on one of our gauges after a dive outing.   I've been diving for over 35 years and Abyss is one of the most professional shops that I have had the pleasure of dealing with. Some more about the abyss boat dives.   It seems as though a lot of thought went into the design of the boat, as it was  set up well for diving.  It was fast and comfortable, even in choppy seas.  One of the smoothest rides I've experienced.  The dives stations were set up perfectly and getting in and out was easy.  Giant stride off the back and an easy climb up a sturdy ladder.  No need to remove fins in the water.  Captain and crew were great, and we saw some cool stuff during our dives.  We'll definitely be back!

100% recommend for anyone who is looking for an amazing scuba diving experience!  I went into the 2-day course quite nervous but the experience of the team and attention from my instructor, Yordan, calmed my nerves. The course is really well set out - starting with the basics in a pool then slowly building up your confidence in the ocean and finally ending with a scenic dive. No regrets choosing Abyss!

I went on a trip with Abyss to Narooma for the weekend and it was a blast! 3 dives with the seals around Montague Island and the water and viz was incredible despite the rain. Bo was a responsible guide, he prepared food for us, made sure our safety during the trip and he’s quite funny too! Definitely diving with them again

The best PADI course you could find in Sydney, friendly stuff will give u prompt reply and professional suggestion. They also have free guided shore dive every week, experienced DM will lead the team to ensure every is happy and safe. Highly recommend

I went to Montague Island dive trip with Abyss last week, and the visibility of the ocean was incredibly amazing! There were lots of seals swimming around us. Beyond that, our instructor, Bo, was very helpful with everything we needed, in order to make us feel enjoyable during the trip!  I highly recommend if you want to experience all of this, go with Aybss Scuba Diving is never a wrong choice.

The best dive centre in Sydney! Everyone here is super friendly and helpful. Their online agents answer your questions literally 24/7, their staffs address your concerns properly. I had an amazing experience with Laura for the PADI Mermaid course. She is just so awesome, being a stunning mermaid herself and also a patient, encouraging instructor! I enjoyed every single moment of the day, from morning knowledge wrap up to midday body stretch, then to of course pool training and tricks with the magic mermaid tail and mermaid makeups, it was just so much fun! And of course you’ll receive all the cute photos and videos to make your experience even more memorable! Anyone who loves free diving, you shouldn’t miss this! Very proud to say that I’m now officially a PADI certified mermaid : Thank you Laura for all the support and thanks Abyss for offering the best experience.

I did an open water diver course with Abyss and it was amazing. My instructor was James and he was really nice and patient with me. I got scared at first but I gradually gained confidence thanks to him. We also got Bo and he was really friendly as well as all the staff at the dive shop. Thank you guys!
