About Life started out great but in recent months it's hit and miss whether they'll stock the items I need despite being a regular customer with a loyalty card. Some days the shelves look so bare you feel they may be closing down soon. Still visit on occasion, but have transferred to other more reliable stockists for my organic groceries.
The food is good, but staff or their system mixes the orders up often. Disappointed with how dirty the eating tables are. They don't clean after people leave which makes it unattractive to incoming customers. The smoothies prices are way over the board. There is a wide variety of products in store, though very expensive.
Great coffee price for members. Hot food is good, I like that it is not always the same. I know they have had stock issues but I don't mind it. They are not a major supermarket.
I was eager to see what About Life would bring to the area but I'm disappointed. Its hit & miss, some days this place is fabulous & has everything you need, staff are super friendly. Other days it's like there are rations, the shelves are half empty, staff cant answer basic questions like where is... or is that gluten free or the food has been left out too long in the bain marie & gone crusty. More & more its leaning towards the second so its time for me to stick with places that are consistent, much cheaper & conveniently around the corner like Taste Organic.
Aloof staff. Limited options compared to other smaller stores of the same franchise. The buffet of about life whilst being quite healthy gets old quite quickly. A higher frequency of choices would be advantageous to the company. Also... Delivery would kill it.. I like the fact that it's healthy though and you can eat quality ingredients for quite a good price making it ideal for students or just trying to take care of yourself on a budget.
A great concept to add to the mix in Crows Nest - love the servery area for busy people on the run who want something healthy. Also, was pleasantly surprised by their prices. You expect to pay a premium for organic, however they keep their prices reasonable. Love also, how they're independent from the majors. Two thumbs up.
Haven't shopped there but lunch was very good. I am not one for fancy activated charcoal superfoods antioxidant soul cleansing terms, but my beef burger probably not doing the name justice was delicious! Will be back to try other dishes.
Awesome selection of healthy and organic groceries. Great lunch set up too. Select your size and fill up with the daily selection of curries, salads, soups and other delicious options.
Good place for organic food, skincare products and cooking preps . They normally get new stocks in on Tue and Sat, so pick your time for the fresh food. Though since organic food farm are far less than normal ones, price could vary a lot.
