I popped into Abhi's to pick up a loaf they're generally okay, and thought I'd get a muffin to snack on on the way home, since I was post-workout and really hungry. Sadly this was a muffin of disappointment: it was inedibly salty, oily and mealy. What's pictured is what sadly as far as my hungry self could eat before, it just felt way too unpleasant to continue. At $4.50 for a small savoury muffin from a bakery, I'd admit I made the mistake in thinking it would be good. My bad for having expectations . Least to say, it's not something I would do again. The people at the store were nice though, so that's what the star is for.
Nice people. Reasonable product. Wouldn't say it's the best around as many have, but I didn't leave disappointed.

Bought the mushroom steak pie not long ago and disappointingly mostly starch and not much ingredients in it. Wasn't like that before.
Tried the almond croissant and have mixed feelings - it has all the makings of being fantastic with delicious almond filling and flaky croissant layers, except the croissant pastry tastes stale and tastes like it's two days old. Might come back early morning some time to try a fresh one, perhaps they just age poorly throughout the day?
Be aware that “Gluten Free” loaf of bread is baked in the same kitchen as the non-GF options. Not safe for anyone with coeliac. Don’t waste $10 on a loaf that will make you sick.
Proper heavy rye bread, so yummy and healthy at the same time. We also like that items are offered with Spelt as an alternative for Wheat. Best Croissants! I revise my comment. Just bought a wild berry muffin. Took one bite, it tasted horrible. Opened the muffin: many berries inside were mouldy, the dough was liquid and the muffin stank. When showing the muffin to the sales assistant, she said that there was nothing wrong with the muffin. No sorry, no apology, no refund. I'll find a better bakery!!!!!
My go to bakery! I love Abhi's - delicious and well priced coffee, a great range of well made bread, lots of tasty treats and fantastic customer service to top it off. I have been visiting Abhi's for years now and I have never been disappointed.
Had a discussion with the manager about their take-away cups. No need to serve single use plastic anymore especially if you dine-in. Coffee mugs aren't recyclable due to the plastic linen. The manager couldn't see my point and didn't promise any change. This is Freo! Try to be a part of it
