I had a pleasant experience during my visit last night. The customer service was commendable, with friendly and attentive staff. While some dishes were excellent, others could use improvement to elevate my overall experience from four stars to five. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Delicious food, pleasant atmosphere and brilliant customer service. Hardly see any restaurant offering such yummy food, and the waiters visit us every now and then to take our used plates back and ask for any help. The owner seems to be a very nice and well-spoken person as well. Happy to recommend them.
Updated review:nn0.5 stars - the half star is purely for the wait staff that were worked like slaves, nothing to do with the restaurant.nnThis has been a never-ending saga of more problems created!nnSince 06/10, found out that despite three different people myself, my mother and the decorator confirming that 5pm is an acceptable time to pick up the decorations, the staff THREW THE DECORATIONS IN THE BIN! What kind of imbecile throws decorations and linen tablecloths?nnI have attempted to reach the incompetent manager and all I get is radio silence! I offered benefit of doubt, but what a joke!nnI am absolutely disgusted by the behaviour and will make sure I actively discourage EVERYONE AND ANYONE from ever going there as long as I live.nnSo completely unprofessional and so ridiculously incompetent, I’d think I’m being pranked except for the financial costs and sheer stress of the day and every single day since.nnIf you want peace of mind, avoid Aangan. If you want to boycott a manager taking advantage of waitstaff, avoid Aangan. If you don’t want an incompetent meal and untold miseries heaped on you, avoid Aangan.nn——————————————nnOriginal reviewnTotal 1.5 starsnnRestaurant wedding receptionnnThings that went welln- food overall goodn- Catered for last minute dietaries cashews and dairy in Indian cuisine which was much appreciatedn- The wait staff that did arrive were polite and helpful despite being completely run OFF their feetnnThings that did not go welln- The audio system was broken two days before the event, and no attempt to remedy or find alternatives was maden- We brought our own systemsn- There was no video / presentation functionn- Bartender was hired and did not turn upn- The bartender situation meant throughout the event, we mixed and served our own drinks - this one is the MOST upsetting to men- Tables were not all present for the decoratorn- Wait staff were scheduled to arrive 11:00, but had a single person only until 13:30n- To get a second staff member took 12 phone calls and requests per hour over that periodn- One entree item pani puri was never servedn- There were insufficient plates and bowls CONSTANTLYn- The plates and bowls supplied were not washed properly
Food was very good and the staff were friendly. There was a mix up with the order and it took time to get someone's attention.
Angan Restaurant's food is amazing! Each dish is bursting with authentic flavors and beautifully presented. The service is quick and friendly. Highly recommend!
