We ordered Pad thai and nes goreng, both horrible. They added pink color in Pad thai, tasty just so so but looks so unnatural, I ate 20 then have to give up. Nasi goreng have no flavour at all, rice is sticky and old....we give up on that one as well. We won't go back. I never give bad review but this 2 dishes should be improved a lot.
Easy the best asean quality/price in Noosa. I live here for years and I eat always Singapore laksa and Special Fried Rice...they taste the same every single time in the past 5 years. I read review of people that say this place is expensive...I never seen lowest price in Noosa. My favourite take away place!
Upon ordering and sitting we were not told that the food would be a long wait. 50 mins later, a follow up on our order was made, only to be told it had not even been started to made yet. We decided to cut our losses and pay for our drinks/entree which was also a 30 min wait. The wait staff were rude and asked "Why am I leaving, is there somewhere I need to be?" ..... Overpriced also in my opinion as the Entree we did have was tasty but very small.
Taste of Spice is an institution for a reason….. actually a few. For over 14 years, owners Shelly and Anil, have honed Malaysian culinarily perfection. There are many fantastic dishes though after watching not just my plate on dozens of meals, there’s general consensus, maybe even a cult following that this is the best Charquetow and Singapore noodles most have ever tied….. to the point where many return to the area from our of state, and a couple, the country for these dishes. And that’s over the Magical area of Noosa. When you come back for a dish over years, sometimes multiple times a week, you get to know the consistency within and between the chefs. Not only is this consistency profound but they’ll remember how they cooked it for you and iteratively bring out more of the flavors you taste, love and communicate from last time or a dazzlingly identical replica. In this kitchen, Anil’s pride is evident in the deliberate precision of each dish, from his hands or those he’s trained, it’s something you’ll more often see in fine dining. Out front Shelly is lovely, anticipating your requests, receptively listening with respectful warmth complimenting the food in more than a little contrast to your average road side table.
What a gem. Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Restaurant not much to look but don't judge a book by its cover. Definitely go backFood: 5/5
We have been coming to Noosa for over 20 years and for the last 12 years have made a point of coming to ATOS. Char kway teow, curry puffs and laksa are our favourites.Recommended dishesChar Kwan Teow, Seafood Laksa
I don't know how they got 4.3 stars! Ordered coconut rice a d it was disgusting.not only that, they heated the bowl of rice in microwave so much that the coconut almost burnt... Service was disgrace. Curry was ok at best.. won ton soup was nothing like wonton soup! I would say, convert from Malaysian food to indian food please, even after that they need to work on the curries and service!
I had take away soup there. It wss quite expensive, but also bad. I didn't even finish the bowl and threw half of it out. I mean I was famished, but not enough to eat the soup. The spring rolls were okay.
Superb dinner by Anil and always well served by Shelley. Best value in Noosa.
Used to eat at Taste of Spice when it was at Thomas Street Noosaville, so it's been a good 10yrs since we ate here last. Decided to grab a takeaway tonight. We ordered Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef Pad Thai, Chicken Curry, Thai Fishcakes, and a side of Roti. Store had a vibrant atmosphere and the cooks were cooking up a storm on the woks. Friendly staff. Wish we'd eaten in house. Kids weren't real keen on the food. We usually fight over leftovers for lunch, however I'm not sure any of us are that keen this time around. Sorry guys.....
