Quite honestly the best indian I have eaten in a long time. Everything is cooked from fresh, naans are super tasty, and the Curries are so nice. I came here once a week too get a Mango Chicken for my Daughter, she has a range of allergies and the staff are fantastic in making sure the meals are done right. The staff are quite honestly thee most nicest people you would come across, cant recommend this place enough.
I recently moved to Brisbane from Sydney and wasn't aware of any good Indian restaurants in he neighbourhood so I decided to dine in after reading the reviews of this place, but sadly it didn't justify the comments at all. We ordered Malai Kofta and Kadhai paneer and trust me we can cook better then what they served us at home. It was very basic in taste. Malai kofta has just grated potato stuffed in it which was very disappointing it tasted worse than ever. Kadhai panner didn't justify its name, had better than this in so many other places. Food was no value for money and very highly priced. I don't mind paying $60 for two if I get a quality food. I would never recommend this place to any of my friends. I was extremely disappointed. So far this was my worst dine in experience in Australia in terms of food.
Had bad experience last night with all 4 curries we ordered tasted same which was Kashmiri chicken, chicken vindaloo, chilli chicken and paneer . All curries came 15 minutes of ordering the food and had to wait for the Roti bread. By the time all of us got our bread the curries gone cold. Staff was friendly and they tried to get everything shorted out. After mentioning to chef and owner we got response that "it happened sometimes" and I was very disappointed. Not worth going.
Cheats at A Night In India If you have problems with A Night in India, please do not accept any excuses and lies, and instead visit their restaurant and insist you will be staying for a refund. You will need to do this, as our experience demonstrates they will work very hard to lie and stall if they think it means they will be able to hold on to your money. We ordered from them at 6:10pm, and followed up again an hour later when it hadn’t arrived- we were told their delivery car had broken down en route to our house, and our meal would be delivered in 5 minutes. An hour later we called again to follow up- we were incredibly polite, but when they realised it was us chasing our order they put the phone on hold for 15min and then the phone disconnected. We ended up having to attend the restaurant in person and let the wait staff know several times that we would not be leaving until they refunded our money. By this time a queue had formed at the restaurant and the delivery driver appeared to return, claiming that he had just been at our house and we had refused delivery of our order. However when we returned home and told our family that the delivery driver stated that he had just been , we were informed that no delivery driver had been at our address and the order had actually never arrived. It turns out that the delivery driver lied about our order being delivered so that the customers that were queuing for the restaurant would not realise that these guys were scumbags and leave. We suspect that these guys had too many orders, and instead of being honest about it decided to use a variety of lies to keep stalling customers until they could get to orders. We finally returned home hungry and tired just before 9:00pm. Remember if things go wrong with these cheats you will have to work very hard to get your money back- avoid at all costs.
Absolutely amazing curries here. Decently priced, extremely tasty meals, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. If you are after good Indian cuisine, either takeaway or dine-in, this place is a must.
Had take away from here the other day, mostly based on all the positive reviews. Very disappointed with the Tandoori items, they didn't seem to be cooked in a tandoori oven. Flavour was okay, but everything pretty much tasted the same. Naans were tasty and so were the onion bhajis. But not enough for me to go back again.
Old reheated curry base. Extra oily. Ordered paneer curry, had literally 8 pieces of old dry paneer. EVERY THING IS REALLY OLD. NEVER GOING BACK. Tastes awful. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else. The touch of india in food court is miles better. Only reason for me to not return the dish was that the restaurant was already closed. Nothing less than 1 star else would give negatuve
The ambience is good but lacks the food quality in some dishes. Tried goat curry which was nice and their breads are good too. Chicken dishes needs more improvement would not recommend chicken tikka masala at all to anyone. Butter chicken is not worth trying either.
Served us 3 same curries with a whole load of vinegar! Tried to convince us that they are not the same curries. The staff could have been a bit more helpful when we were selecting curries. The veg curry was crap with some paneer bits and one piece of capsicum. Paid too much for 4 badly prepared curries with loads of unnecessary reasoning from the staff who didnt apologise at all for spoiling our night. Not coming back.
The chef badly needs a training as all dishes taste same all naan, roti look and taste same and not worth the price. Indian cuisine is one of the tastiest and consistant one across the world but this was really" taste less"and a bad experience.
