Well maintained and superbly located. Great place to stay while enjoying walking around the mountains. The room's were clean and bed's comfortable. The shared kitchen was well kitted out with cookers, microwave and some cooking utensils. There's also a dinning area. There's plenty of toilet's and shower's, well maintained. Also available is a laundry room.
Perfect location for a couple days of exploring Arthur’s Pass. The hostel has a nice feel, older cabin in the lounge, very modern in the kitchen, decent Wi-Fi, and outlets all over. Sadly the town seems to have taken a big hit from covid and so things like the reception at the hostel are still closed, along with most everything in town besides the small market next door, which is on limited hours / service. Hopefully that bounces back to combine the great vibe with a few more options.
Management, glad you responded to my original removed by myself review. Just a quick clean at the bedroom window garden, you'll know what I'm talking about. Ps: Great place to stay for a knight or two. Affordable with nice clean bathrooms and toilets and the kitchen is not bad either.
Go to place only when you dont have any other option. The place felt mouldy. Rooms were not cleaned even there was no guest in my room the beds were all messy. The only good thing was location and the kitchen area.
Bathrooms are very cramped, communal and have no hand soap, extremely thin walls, actual rooms are quite clean.Rooms: 2/5
Excellent facilities. Very modern kitchen with everything you need. Very clean, well appointed, warm and comfortable. Central location,...right beside the Arthur's Pass tearooms and close to the start of most local walks and climbs . Love the spiral staircase. Will be back with friends very soonRooms: 5/5

Slept on the most comfortable bed ever Woke up watching Keas & made myself a breakfast in a superclean kitchen. Facilites & location are awesome Thank you for the great experience, Tash
Really good hostels with a great situation less than 20-30 min for the main tracks, rooms are quite spacious and clean, the kitchen is huge. The only thing would to get the heater stronger and more often during the day as it’s -5 outside :
Such a calm and relaxed place. Beds are really comfy compared to what I've had over the last week, and you don't feel like the bunk is going to collapse! I stayed in the 8 bed dorm and there was a decent amount of space to move around in. Kitchen was always clean, same with the showers and toilets.
