Absolutely adore this hidden gem and try to pop over from Whakatāne every few months. It's a treasure trove of secondhand books, spanking all genres. The owner has incredible knowledge and can help you find anything.nnMake sure you take an antihistamine dusty for obvious reasons and have a coffee before you arrive, as once you're here, you could easily spend hours perusing the shelves.
First time being here and this is hands down the best book shop I have ever been in! The books are packed neatly according to their respective genre's. LOADS of options! Spotted a few books I never thought I’d get my hands on. Plus the owner is also friendly and kind… such a positive atmosphere for book lovers. 10 stars!
Fantastic 2nd hand shop/ book exchange. Books in one warehouse and everything else in another. Awesome range of dvds and blu ray disc for those of us who love physical media. Staff were friendly and very helpful
The lady assuming she was the owner, was super lovely and helpful, showed us around as it was our first time here. Amazing how many books they get in each week. Super friendly and helpful. Will add this to our new place for books. Highly recommend
First time here. Plenty of books to choose from but very hard to navigate around the tight aisles. I generally pay $3 each for good quality books from the op shops, so found the $5 each for older dated books a bit much. But understand it's a private business.nnI have only given 1 star, because as an animal lover, when I went to visit the bric and brac side, tucked between aisles of books was this random bird cage with 2 little cockateil birds in it. They appeared cold, as the store was cold as well and one of their water dishes was full of poop! To see these poor birds living like this, has put me off from visiting the store exchange again.n2 staff members were notified about my concerns for the birds.
