Fantastic 2nd hand shop/ book exchange. Books in one warehouse and everything else in another. Awesome range of dvds and blu ray disc for those of us who love physical media. Staff were friendly and very helpful

A heartfelt thanks to Xandu Books for creating this incredible resource and for all the hard work organizing and sorting the shelves.
Absolutely huge selection of books. The aisles are bursting at the seams with books! Something there for everyone. Most books are between $1-$5. Last time we checked in there we came away having spent $60 and left with more books than what could fit I a grocery bag. There's an upstairs section with all the really old books and from the top of those stairs you can get a really good viewpoint over the whole collection.
Xanadu seems to be the Bays best kept secret, even though it's had some great media coverage.nnThey have thousands, thousands and thousands of books. All sorted into genres and authors to make it easy to browse. Well, as easy as it can be with so many options.nnXanadu is spread out across three buildings that are pretty close. One has CDs/DVDs/Records/games, the other is the main store for books, and the final one is like an op-shop.nnA great secondhand book store with something for everyone.nnThey get over 8000 new books a month, so there will always be new things to check out.nnWell worth a visit.
Such an amazing bookstore! It has been difficult to find the specific books I wanted whilst travelling around NZ but I walked away from here with 13 of them. Staff were really friendly and helpful finding them for me! Would definitely recommend visiting!
