Absolutely disgusting service went to Woolworths brown Street Timaru yesterday with my son that's 25 he was refused to buy alcohol. He was told that the piece of paper that the police are gave him until his new license turns up in the mail means nothing to them and when I point out it's a legal document they still declined it and say it doesn't matter there's no photo to ID him and they said that he has to be 30 yes 30 years old before he could buy alcohol there. they refuse to let him buy it they refuse to let me buy it I'm 58 and the reason they refuse me to buy because they said I would give it to him that is truly disgusting service.nMy son often buys alcohol there without any issues because most of them know him as a customer or a friend of familynI've never been so insulted in my life by self service staffnSHAME ON YOU WOOLWORTHSnTHE LEGAL AGE TO BUY ALCOHOL IN NEW ZEALAND IS 18 YEARS OLD NOT 30
This place is an absolute JOKE. The staff obviously aren't trained properly, are VERY rude & look like they'd rather die than do their job!!! This smug looking lady tried to ID my 10 year old granddaughter who was doing nothing but looking at the scratchy tickets next to me while I purchased one & another thing is they are very good at overcharging on checkouts. Many others have bad experiences at this place as well so I would not recommend it to anyone. 0/5!!!
Very bad experience. Visited this branch today. Impolite and got no respect from the self checkout staff. Me with my family at self checkout at around 6.10pm.
I was a member @ Countdown & got the discounts. Now Woolworths doesn't accept me or my email address or password. Why?
