A great wee Countdown, even for this shopper with his flax kitty on his back for his groceries & his trusty horse! The supermarket has a broad selection of goods, plenty of parking, located on the main road passing through Paeroa. Very handy for the Campervans’ Freedom Parking beside the park next door.
Worst experience ever to a store in New Zealand. My friends went to get buy some groceries and also got a few beers, I was outside. When my friends went to pay the manager wanted me to come in too to check my passport. They would refuse to seek us beers because they were not able to read my passport correctly and tried to convince me that my US VISA was expired and so I could prove I was of age. This has been so weird and infuriating it felt like a joke. Don’t go to this store !
Another overcharge on item--this is a,regular occurrence at this store--and not well handled by checkout--a new guy who could have been from management--totally rude and void of any personality for front of house--bring on New World to Paeroa.
Another small town Countdown with an excellent assortment of stock and helpful staff. Great selection of meat and wine
Passing thru made a quick stop grabbed a few things got to check out the service was awful no help at all. Staff were rude and unblinking. Not recommended.
