We stayed here for a couple of nights for an 80th birthday celebration in the private bar. Very comfortable 2bdrm units. The staff at the tavern looked after our gluten free needs really well, we were impressed. We'd definitely stay here again.n10 star rating... Big thanks to the Woodbourne Tavern team
Terrible customer service, rude bar manager makes the welcoming feel like you just walked into the morgue. Traveled all the way out there after a conversation to staff on phone to confirm details . Upon arrival was denied what was confirmed, accepted no responsibility and when confronted then refused service due to the child like bloke behind the bar not adult enough to admit or apologize for wasting our time and night . Very understandable why aside from us there were maybe 2 patrons in the entire public area on a Saturday night .
We stayed here for two nights with our campervan to do a wine tasting Tour. The place is a standard parking spot but still lovely and quiet. We appreciated the kindness of the owner to stay here for free and use their bathroom. All stuff was so kind and helpful, just lovely. By the way they also serve great food and beer! We loved everything about this stay. Highly recommend.
Joined a Quiz Night with friends from Wairau Hospital. Amazing atmosphere, quiz master was great.nFood was fairly good, beer was cold. It was a fun night. Will surely come back.
Always a goody at the Woody. Lost some coin in the Devil's den and also some angry paper betting. A few beers and good company. Great stuff.
