Miles was friendly and helpful, showing us the options of pocket knives and demonstrating how they operate, and answeing our questions. Wide range available in everything, great interior with many interesting wall hangings. Well worth calling in for a browse.
Parked in the car parks to get something next door before going to Wilsons to buy goods. No sign writing on these parks. My wife got abused by a man who came out of Wilsons. Seems he likes picking on women. When I questioned him he scurried away into Wilsons before leaving in a black Ute. Told her he would get her towed for parking where we did? We decided to go to H&F instead. Very disappointing.
Got great price on new rod excellent service and great product quality
I needed some gear for my camping trips so I decided to pay this place a visit while I was in Whanganui. I really like how friendly and attentive the staff is. Unfortubatley, if I was visit this place again I wouldn't trust that the gentleman who helped us knows the products. Otherwise, it's a cool shop and friendly staff.

Great pricing and huge selection of firearms. Staff very knowledgeable, honest, upfront and overall helpful with selecting the best product for yourself. I'm from out of town but would definitely make a special trip to do business there again.
I am not from Wanganui so thought while I was here to pay Wilson’s a visit as I am in need of a new knife. Stood out of my car and a man walks up to me and says you realise this is private property, private parking? Made me feel incredibly stupid. So you see a female pull into your car park and automatically think oh she’s not supposed to be here will 100% spend my money elsewhere.
If you do buy a product from this store be careful about how long a product will take to get back if still under warranty. Have been waiting for a scope for over 4 months to be returned and there response when i call them is not our problem just wait until we send it to you . I have asked many of times if they have contacted the overseas party but they say that there is no point as they will send it when ready. Terrible customer service wouldn't recommend to anyone who buys off them just because they are cheaper there's a reason. Stick to a bigger company and local so you don't have the who cares attitudes and what are you going to do about it like this company.

Best assortment of hunting and fishing equipment I have ever seen Ken Wilson who owns the store has all the knowledge of great hunting and fishing places around New Zealand Won't find a better place to equip your self with gear and knowledge
