Had the most amazing experience. Guide David was absolutely amazing had the best holiday, kayaking, lodges, food, service. Everyone including the bus driver were so courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend anyone to do the 5 day tour.
We did the seal walk which was fantastic. The trip out was great, well organised, efficient and informative. The actual walk etc was perfect. The trip back was a bit frustrating. We were held up at one of the pick up points for about 20 min. It was hot, not many people wearing masks, and lots of noisy uncontrolled children. My advice would be to take a jumper that allows to sit outside regardless of how cold the wind is.
My partner and I did the full day kayaking trip and this was the highlight of our trip. Seeing the national park from this angle is incredible and you get to go to gorgeous bays and lagoons that you otherwise wouldn't. Our guide Doc was awesome - super knowledgeable, really lovely and honestly made the trip a thousand times better!
Booked the Medlands/Bark Bay Falls #2 Cruise and Walk. Good for a bit of everything. Parking and check-in was a breeze. Easy walk from Medlands Beach to Bark Bay Falls. See the Split Apple Rock and Seals in the cruise. Sit on the top deck in the open breeze or down below. Great service and experience
Very attractive deal for locals so jumped on the opportunity to do the Medlands beach/Bark Bay trip after a cruise to Totaranui. Easy check-in, super friendly staff and the trip was amazing! A beautiful walk to the bridge and waterfalls, sploshing back via the low tide track estuary and plenty of time to have a swim and lounge on the beach! And all this in one of the most beautiful places in the world :
On Thursday Rāpare 9th February, I joined Wilson's Abel Tasman crew for the BBQ Vista Cruise. What an experience. These guys absolutely delivered. Right from booking over the phone, confirmation, checking in, and traveling with the crew on-board, perfect. Had the most awesome day. Value for money for sure. Traveled from #kaiteriteri to #totaranui to #medlandsbeach to #torrentbay for lunch at #torrentbaylodge , then back to #kaiteriteri The BBQ lunch at Torrent Bay Lodge was awesome. The guys spoilt me so much. The kai was scrumptious, and the huge Parāoa roll and garlic butter just was I need to soak up the vinaigrette from the salad and jus from the steak. Steak was cooked to perfection. All in all, it was a pretty fantastic day. #abeltasman #splitapplerock #wilsonsabeltasman #loveabeltasman #makingmemories #memoriesforlife #seeingthesouthisland #touringthesouthisland #tourofsouthisland #southislandnz #lovinglife #lovinglife
Disappointed with the service. Their website says during winter they don’t run the cruise option but I honestly was expecting a better service for the price I paid. The taxi should cost much less than the cruise as the service isn’t the same at all. It doesn’t say anywhere they will stop everywhere picking up and dropping off people, on top of that it isn’t clear anywhere during the booking that you could also share the trip with pets. Nothing wrong but I should be able to choose if I am paying for the service. Our activity was first changed to a earlier start without clear reason and we needed to change the trip back home, then the weather was really bad, we called earlier to check if it would go through and they said yes, then 5 min before arriving we were an hour driving they called to say they would prefer to cancel which was understandable because of the weather but we could see that way before 5 min before departure. We accepted the change again and did it next day. But never understood why the changed first time when the website allowed that option. Of course I wouldn’t recommend to do this activity in winter if you want a tourist visit to Abel Tasman, you are being charged for something you aren’t going to get. Choose another cruise instead.
From my first phone conversation with the Receptionist, the service we received was absolutely first class and the company a pleasure 2 deal with. On adding more people 2 our original booking, I was told of a better option 4 spending time on a beach which worked out brilliantly. Staff on the boat were friendly and helpful and we had the most fantastic sea and beach trip. Thank u 2 all involved, u deserve every accolade 4 providing such an excellent service.
We did the full day kayak tour. Our guide Kevin was great, even though it rained all day would still recommend as it meant the sea was super calm and fewer people on the water, so we saw a lot more wildlife including the fur seals up close. They provided thermals with it being so wet and even a hot drink on the lunch break. No complaints, would definitely recommend.
Thanks to Wilson Tours for an amazing three days. We booked the self guided walk, but ended up with guide Phil due to the landslides in the park. Phil was an awesome guide, interacting with all the family. The lodges were lovely, such wonderful places to be. Great communication with Wilson’s, would highly recommend this trip.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
