Having decided to buy a new riser recliner, we booked a free visit and was very impressed with the service given. So much so that we ordered two chairs and a standard two seater settee. The order arrived in two weeks time and was delivered by the team, assembled and shown the operating features. Hower,after a week, my wife felt that her chair wasn't wasn't as comfort as she had hoped so I contacted Willowbrook expecting to be told nothing could be done. Exactly the opposite in fact and as a result a new chair was made that now fits her perfectly . We did think the price was high but you get what you pay for and with such service we are very happy. Well done to all members of Willowbrook who made this expert such a good one.
Absolutely disgusting customer service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Especially if you are disabled and looking for a bespoke chair, they don’t care about their customers, just take your money and leave you with an inferior, unusable product. The chair is not even comfortable for an able bodied person let alone my disabled mum who it was supposed to be ‘bespoke’ to her measurements and needs. TOTALLY DISGUSTING unfortunately I have to give 1 star! EDIT - Following the reply from customer services, I have now sent reference number and details to confirm this is a genuine review, I really wish it wasn’t as then my mum wouldn’t be pretty much confined to her bed!!
All started well visit to home measurements ordering delivery brilliant. Then it all went wrong orderd recliner chair and 3 seater sofa all seemed fine 3days of use recliner stuffing started to bunch up reported on1st of December. Someone came out had a look and said yes it was faulty they would send someone else out to collect This is on-going every time it comes back there is something else wrong. Now waiting for it to goback again. Chair has not been right since the day I had it.
I ordered my second Willowbrook bed at the end of 2021. I asked for exactly the same bed as my previous bed but I didn’t get it. I cannot move this bed as the ‘wheels’ are stiff, the mattress isn’t a Tempur mattress as my first bed and the mattress doesn’t fit inside the bed frame. I paid a huge amount of money for the bed and I’m very disappointed. I rang before Christmas to ask if they could remove the castors as I may be able to push the bed without them as they are immovable!! I haven’t heard back from them!! I have phoned for help but to no avail. I gave 5 stars initially as I EXPECTED my bed to be the same as my first bed! I can’t give any stars now!!
Absolutely disgraceful company, took over £3000 from an old lady, refused to refund her within cooling off period, delivered 'custom' chair for a disabled woman who HADN'T EVEN BEEN MEASURED. Chair unusable. Refuse to refund or communicate. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Terrible after sale service ! Customer services simply don’t know who to forward the problem onto. We’ve had several people out to fix the control which operates the position of the chair. No one comes with the correct equipment. I’m very disappointed with this company. When I called customer services earlier last year I was told to turn everything off Spray stiff area with WD40 on the bottom of the chair. Wait for 45 mins or over night! Then test again. Rubbish. This didn’t work at all. Service personnel do not have correct tools to resolve latest problem.
I hate to pass on such a review but I have not been happy various things were missed out in initial demonstration my chair has had to go back once. The call out fees for small things are expensive. Company seem to have a policy of this is the price despite mistakes they made and seem unsympathetic. I wish others better luck to others. I am giving two of the three stars to the delivery people who brought my chair who hoovered where the chair needed to and were very kind to me.
I ordered the bed about a year ago and they were very helpful. They even held the bed for me whilst my house move was delayed and were helpful when there was an issue with the sizing of the bed. But then I got the bed... the memory foam mattress is incredibly uncomfortable and gives me pain at the base of my back when using it in the reclined position. It basically provides no actual support to spread your weight. Theres nothing they can do so it’s my problem despite it being the main point of the bed. Well they could refund me as it fails to deliver on its USP... Oh and I’m still waiting for the end draw 6+ months later and the floor lights were not installed properly and need redoing. I’ve phoned and emailed repeatedly but It seems now my money has been banked that giving me what I paid for is not a priority. I’ve paid a small fortune for a bed I’m likely to send to the tip before long. The most disappointing purchase I’ve ever made. It was replacing a terribly uncomfortable bed supplied by the local authority that I now actually miss. Edit: just had an email reminding me of this. I literally gave the bed away due to the awfully poor mattress that is unsuitable when reclined. I imagine if you are very light it’s ok, but I’m 6’ 4 with a strong body. The draw did eventually arrive though. So a complete waste of money. I found a decent bed and mattress from John Lewis did the trick. More comfortable and mechanically far better to lie flat. The response for the mattress issue was ‘tough’ although I’m paraphrasing. So I definitely recommend properly trying before you buy. You judge a company on how they deal with issues. There is definitely a trend in these reviews IMO.
Shockingly poor after sales service. My initial contacts with Willowbrook were excellent. Their process for organising a demonstration was excellent and their sales representative couldn’t have been more helpful. Then when they had my order and initial deposit it all changed. The process for arranging delivery was poorly organised and unhelpful meaning that delivery was delayed weeks. The process for collecting balance payments was disorganised meaning I was asked to pay the same sum several thousand pounds twice and had to provide bank statements to prove it had already been paid previously. I received my 2 chairs from Willowbrook nearly 3 weeks ago. The chairs didn’t work from day of delivery and still don’t work.There is a fault with the return button on the controller on both chairs. I find the foam in the seat cushion overly firm which makes them uncomfortable to sit on for more than a few minutes. Despite having been ‘made to measure’ the foot support section is clearly too short for me and does not support my legs properly. I emailed Williwbrook immediately after delivery asking them to collect the chairs. I have emailed them twice since but they have totally ignored all of my emails. This company is the perfect example of the saying ‘better in the courtship than the marriage’. A high value purchase like this should be properly supported with after sales service and faulty products should be resolved promptly. I will keep this review updated to reflect my ongoing experiences but my advice at present is to avoid this company. Dr Ashley Davenport. Coventry. Update. After leaving the above review I was contacted by Willowbrook almost immediately. They have given instructions over the phone to reprogram the return button which now works perfectly. I gave feedback that this would have been a useful addition to the written user instructions for the chairs. Willowbrook have arranged for an area manager to visit me to check the chair measurements as my chair remains uncomfortable. I will continue to keep this review updated. Update 31/7/22 Willowbrook recently sent their area manager to my home to check on the measurements for the ‘made to measure’ chair they supplied to me. We both agreed that my chair has been made with its leg support approximately 4” too short for my leg length. He was going to make enquiries regarding how the chair can be modified and come back to me with suggestions. I will continue to keep this review updated.
I did no more than request a product brochure online and yet have now been phoned twice by this company, despite telling them on the first occasion not to call me and when I had the brochure I would contact them if I had any queries. Clearly a high pressure sales company who do not listen and I've not experienced this from any of the other mobility businesses I requested literature from. My potential purchase will not be any further with this business
