Best place to be, the ladies in the office are very polite, easy to talk to and will do whatever they can to help make your stay comfortable. Not a single bad word to say keep up the good work ladies AAA+++. Will recommend to anyone that needs a roof over there heads

The place is a joke. I stayed there, just like all the other negative reviews that conveniently are replied to saying we can find your name. I should have believed those reviews. Stay anywhere else

It's a warm well kept place with nice gardens. A bonus feature. Your Internet shopping is safe. All Couriers drive to the office. So you don't have to hover around the gate all day or set up a collection point. Wonderful place with many good points other people have mentioned in their reviews.

I recently moved to Christchurch from Wellington and stayed at Wigram lodge for 3 weeks. I highly recommend the establishment. It was clean, and comfortable with all amenities well serviced. The management team of Julie and Jenny are two of the most gracious and helpful people I have met in a long time. If you are an independent person looking for safe accommodation then you cant go wrong here .

Hi I lived at the lodge for more than 9 years. I find it a very safe place to live, thanks to all the staff and the cameras. The staff are all very helpful and friendly, they go out of there way help with any problems. The rooms are tidy and warm. The showers , toilets and kitchens are keep very clean and by the cleaners.The grounds are tidy and clean. It is a good place to live. There is new carpet being put in the rooms and hallways. The kitchens have being renovated and look good.

For me it is the perfect place to stay. I sold my place with the view of down sizing and staying here in the meantime. It is so convenient I have decided to stay for the foreseeable future.  It is very safe with video surveillance and after hours security staff. It is very clean, warm and quiet. Conveniently close to Hornby and Wigram shopping malls and a block of local shops within a few hundred metres.  The garden and the buildings are well maintained and the office ladies and other staff are fabulous. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful. You can keep to yourself if you prefer or if you like to socialise  -  there are plenty of friendly and interesting people to talk to if you go down to the courtyard or lounges. I highly recommend  the lodge - long or short term

As a frequent visitor from Germany, for me this is the perfect accommodation. It's safe video surveillance, clean, warm, very quiet with modern amenities. It"s so convenient, with intersections in every direction accessible within 5 minutes, 2 shopping malls around the corner. Living in the city with the tranquility of rural NZ. The garden and the premises altogether and well looked after by Jenny, Julie, Stan and Steven. They are a great team. Especially, from a visitor"s point of view, you get to know the real New Zealand, with it"s ups and downs and they really make you feel like a Kiwi! Since over 10 years now I've been staying at the Lodge and I consider it as my home and base when I"m in the country. Will have to leave again in 2 weeks, but for me there"s no better choice for next season. Looking forward to 2021!

For what is available and at it's price point I think this is a great place. I was unsure what to expect before I arrived but I was genuinely surprised. The area is beautiful with parks, mall and supermarkets all nearby. The property itself is massive but well maintained and the staff really do have your best interests at heart. The rooms aren't breathtaking but they're functional and secure and the communal areas are cleaned regularly. I have been here 3 weeks and I'm quite content to stay for a while longer.

I lived at Wigram Lodge for almost 10 weeks while my house was having earthquake repairs done. I found it to be a very safe, clean and comfortable place to live with friendly staff and fellow lodgers. It is also affordable compared to motels which was important when the builder took longer than insurance had allowed for!Rooms: 4/5

Staff are friendly and the place is quiet and warm. Amenities are kept clean. Good security on site. Plenty of people to chat to or keep to yourself. Good for long or short stay. Easy access to shops and the malls a short distance away.
