So I only came here for the park, rather than the theatre, I've been waiting a while for something to pop up, but it's still the Xmas show and it's February. So we just came for the obstacle course and the playground. Obstacle course is deflated though, I wish the website reflected that. Nothing worse than setting a 4yr old expectations wrong. Paid for our 3 kids, but I notice no one else is wearing a wristband and nothing is policed, feel a bit ripped off. Entry is wide open, so making sure your kids don't escape the grounds is a thing. In short, this place is really a restaurant with a cool park outside it. The kids had a bit of fun

We had the most incredible time at the Urban Playground, an unique playground offering movie-like attractions. From a majestic castle to a rocket ship, a thrilling pirate cove, and even a striking crochet net, the Urban Playground offers an experience unlike any other in NZ. My son was absolutely enthralled by the extraordinary playground.

I took my three year old son and the service was excellent. I didn't need a booking which made it easier to just pop in. It's only over the road from Henderson Train Station so it's handy if you need to take public transport. They gave us a table and customised our order to suit us vegan and gluten free. Then I got him a park pass $7.50 and took him to the playground. He absolutely loved it, especially the crochet style maze. They have a parents room so was easy to take him to the bathroom. Then finally we finished up with a sorbet choc ice cream! Already making plans to meet my friends with kids for a playdate in a couple of weeks' time!

I’ve only recently been able to finally check this place out, I heard the food is amazing, and I was not disappointed. Everything in there was halal but we ordered a bunch of vegetarian food. I highly recommend the vegetarian dumplings they were delicious! The kids 3 year old and under 1 had a blast in the playground. We were not able to try the theatre yet but we had an awesome time through and through. We just had to purchase tickets for the kids to be able to play on the playground, and we found out about that later .

A large play center by the Ground Eatery. There is quite a lot for kids to do here like run around on the playground or go on the giant net. It is a nice place for kids to run around in, before or after eating. The tuck shop is also a nice place to grab some ice cream.

What an awesome experience for parent and child alike. The restaurant has top quality foods. The playgrounds are great for kids. Will recommend it to anyone.

Kids had fun on the playground, but the grounds need serious work. The rocket ship base appears to have termites and the bench seats near the crochet net are completely overgrown with grass. Seems trivial to not mow the seats regularly.

Quite expensive but good quality and tasty food. Great coffee. But what I like the most is the playground! A morning or afternoon is so easily gone just enjoying and having fun!

Nice place to chill out with family, kids and friends. However the food Resturant is definitely pricey. Would love to come again but dine in … don’t think so. There are other comments as well for the food over priced. I think the owners should consider it OR serve a decent quantity on plate. Archie Brothers in New Market mall percent tops the food price and the quantity for that matter. If you haven’t tried it .. try once and see the difference!

Awesome place to take the kids to entertain them. Friendly staff with great food.
