Best fish and chips I've had can't say if it's the best in Whitianga but it's got to be up there. Lightly crisp batter with fresh tender fish, perfectly cooked chips. Walk your meal to the beach for a classic Kiwi experience.
Ordered over $100 of food, fish was good but ordered 7 scoops of chips and looked like we only got 2. Soggy and not fully cooked. Very disappointing when you spend a lot of money trying to feed 12 people. The spring roll was very nice though.
Great place! Fish was fresh, amazing batter, really well cooked. Lady running this place is super nice and really helpful. Best Dinah and chips in Whitianga! Strongly recommend.
Had tried twice with this place. 1st time we ordered fish and chips. We couldnt eat the chips as there was way too much salt. Second time we just ordered chips and folk that order after us received their meal before us. We paid for a scope of chips but after 30 minutes left without the order. Very disappointing and food not fresh or delivered within a timely manner. Maybe thats how they make their money with folk leaving after paying and never getting their order in a a reasonable time and other orders being processed after you. I suppose locals get serviced first which I dont mind if I am told. Very disappointing for a fish and chip shop where this should be easy money and quick service.
Outstanding quality and by far the best chips I have ever eaten in my 40 something years of fish and chips.
Place was very busy and quality was obviously effected. I watched them pull my snapper out the fryer realise some batter had broken, so double dipped the batter and started again. The result was undercooked batter and overcooked fish which broke into two pieces. The garlic fries where normal fries smoothered in a cheap vegetable spread heavily laden with garlic for an extra $2. Not the best money ever spent. Had potential but quality let it down

We came in for a late night dinner. The lamb and fish burgers were great along with the customer service. The Kumar chips were beautifully cooked. Would highly recommend.
Ordered crumbed snapper and kumara chips. Snapper was nice, but the crumbed was soaking in grease, the kumara chips were the same, soaked in grease and all stuck together, we had to throw half away! Won’t go back, felt gross after eating it
Ordered 4x grilled snapper as that was all that was left, got a pathetic amount of fish so we took it back to enquire about quantities and price. Was disappointed to hear that we were paying equivalent of $90 per kg. Luckily the chips were decent. Everything pictured was $65 total...
