Loved our finale couple of nights at Whitianga and really enjoyed the wee ferry ride across the estuary. $8 return as I recall and only takes a couple of minutes. Whilst on the other side we walked up to Whitianga Rock and also did the longer walk upto Maramaratotara Lookout and down to the beach/bay. Highly recommended
What a great service. We are staying in cooks beach and nothing was open for dinner. We had a short and enjoyable trip over to whitianga. Driving was a lovely man

Love these little places that have Ferrys . Instead of driving from Hot Water Beach to Whitianga, we drove to Ferry Landing, Cooks Beach, and caught the Ferry across to Whitianga.nnExcellent service!
