Ebony and the team are clean, professional, thoughtful and courteous. I have loved the work that they have done for me, especially their apprentice, Rebecca. Excellent studio. I intend on only ever getting pieces done from these guys from on. Excellent work!

Personally, wasn’t very happy with my tattoo and how it turned out on my skin. I would’ve probably done well with more guidance and feedback at the time. I had brought in a design and that was just stuck on my skin and tattooed without revision or talking about how that style would heal, if that’s the best style etc - as I hadn’t asked for a design. I wasn’t happy and chose to get it reworked at another studio. I have since talked to Ebony and she has taken the feedback on and been very kind, understanding and professional and was interested to hear about my experience. This studio is great when you already have your own design and vision or you can totally ask them for designs and advice as well - but they let you make their own choice - so make sure you actually ask if you’re not sure The studio is a bit old school and the music was intense rather than chill - at least on the days I’ve been there - maybe not everyone’s cup of tea

The white owl is great and has an awesome atmosphere! The staff is very fwelcoming and made sure me and my partner was comfortable with everything. 100% recommend!

I'm sorry to leave this review but I feel like I would have liked to have known this before i went here. The shop is really cool and friendly unfortunately the tattoo I got was a disaster. The male artist did it. It was a small tattoo but the bruising left on my arm afterwards was basically bigger than the tattoo. Also he applied colour and told me it would change from yellow to green as it healed. It obvs didnt the tattoo was not wrapped afterwards and was weeping plasma badly as I left the shop. The artist was aware of this. It was a nightmare healing. It can only be described as being very wet when it did peel half the tattoo came off with it. Only after getting infected in parts. I have had lots of tattoos previously and never had a healing experience like this.I ended up getting the tattoo fixed at a different parlour. I feel bad for leaving this review as I am not a fan of bad reviews and like I said the owner seems like a lovely woman. I know I would want to read this review if i was selecting tattoo shops.

I had my first tattoo done yesterday by The While Owl Studio at the Tauranga Tattoo expo. We had spent the first day looking around and talking to the artists at the expo. I chose White Owl because they were happy to work with the design I'd drawn up, where other studios had wanted to change things and didn't seem that interested in my relatively small and simple design. In contrast White Owl were really good at answering my questions I had quite a few and were really patient with me while I was deciding to get it- I was a little bit undecided on whether to take the plunge and they were understanding, I never felt pressured or that I was being annoying even when I probably was! Everyone at the White Owl stand was super friendly and welcoming, my partner got a tattoo too and they were happy for me to watch and take pics. I got lucky at the very end of the show and there was a free slot with Claire whose art is amazing. I was really happy that she could do my tattoo, especially as it wasn't her sort of style. When finished it was exactly as I had planned it and I'm glad I psyched myself up and got it! If I got another tattoo I'd quite like to go back to Claire and get something that's more her amazing style. Thank you guys!
