Last minute trip to Waiheke and literally booked a car from Wheels on Waiheke while on the ferry heading from Auckland. The other two car rental agencies didn’t offer same-day web bookings.nnThe car - it was older. The navigation system and buttons were in Japanese so relied on my phone for directions. But was the car clean? Yes. Was the car in good working order? Yes. Did they have friendly staff? Yes.nnI knew the car would be a much older model during the booking process so this agency met all expectations. And we ended up having a great day on Waiheke with the help of this car hire company.nnThanks on Wheels on Waiheke!
Booked a car this weekend and really appreciated the smooth process. It was clean and spacious and,despite having to lock doors manually apart from drivers door, it was perfect for our needs. It didn't worry us at all though. Would definitely recommend. Was so much cheaper than other rentals too. Will definitely use again
We hired a car from Wheels on Waiheke for a long weekend. Quite shocked when started to drive after night fall and realised that one headlight was burned out and the other was dim. Additionally, the boot latch did not work and the boot lid kept popping open. The car was not well maintained and dangerous to drive. Rental cars are supposed to be maintained to a high standard but this one was not. We were stopped by police in Oneroa because of the illegal condition of the car. We were not ticketed as the car was a rental. No response from the company after I wrote to complain. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Wheels on Waiheke were awesome to deal with, Melissa was so lovely and helpful. We a hired a car for 5 days and it was literally the most relaxed and easy going car hire I have ever experienced. Would recommend for anyone who needs a car for more than two days on a bit of a budget. Our car was great, comfy and reliable. Would def use again!
Don’t book with them. Poor customer service. When I called the lady told that they don’t book for just one day. What the hell? Why can’t they book for one day when I need it for one day. They should start considering customer’s request. I called them 2 days in advance. Never gonna call them again. I booked online with Waiheke Rental Cars instead. That’s why I like online bookings. And guess what?? Waiheke on wheels don’t even have online booking option. It sucks.
