Story

Hi my name is Emma Phillips and I have a vision to change
the way we think about food!
I have a goal to encourage people to take responsibility of what they are eating,
what we are feeding and teaching our children about food and help
encourage a clear and positive understanding of where our precious
food comes from,
I am an average woman with two beautiful children who lives week to
week in the daily grind of making ends meet who like everyone is constantly
trying to figure out why it is that healthy and sustainability fresh and
nutritious food is so hard to come by for so many families,
why is it such a hard job to feed our children with food that will only in
the long term benefit them form health problems and obesity.
My family and I decided to make a stand and take the first step
towards making a healthy and sustainable change in our community.
Here’s how!!!!
I smiled the right way to a local farmer I told him my vision and together
we built a sustainable, safe, self-sufficient Chicken coop amongst the
beautiful rolling hills of the small rural town Ohau.
We have made a promise to ourselves that our hens will always be treated
with respect and given the room to flap their wings, given the freedom
to forage through clean pasture, have access to pure water and fresh food,
be safe from harm and always be part of a sustainable environmentally
friendly farming practice.
Our goal is to prove that sustainable healthy food is affordable
to all and that our consumer will be happy to receive our product
with the knowledge that we have produced our eggs by putting the
welfare of our hens and the environment first.
