We loved it here. We were made to feel so welcome. Everything is super easy. I wouldn’t change a thing. The facilities, while dated, are super clean and tidy. No metered showers. Drinkable water at your campsite tap. The water is right there, a calm bay even when windy and waves further out. The perfect place to relax and to enjoy the water. I love too that it isn’t packed and it is quiet at night. Definitely a place to rejuvenate not party. There is a fish and chip store over the hill which kept us fed while we were here and you can grab a coffee from a little hut by the main office. Come stay here! We will be back.
It is a great camping spot with all the facilities nearby. The store there is convenient if you need any last minute things. The bathroom and kitchen seemed a little outdated and a bit worn, but it is what you expect when camping and compared to other campsites it’s good. The beach there is suitable for those who do fishing, water sports, or are beginner swimmers who stay away from big waves. It is family friendly, quiet at night. Suitable for small groups, couples and kids.
Nice, budget campsite right next to the water. The facilities are a bit dated think Kiwi, not glamping but everything is kept fairly tidy. We stopped here on the way to and from the Cape Brett track, and it was the perfect spot for us. The kitchen does not come equipped with pots/pans/cutlery, so would be worth bringing your own if you're staying at a tent site and planning to use the communal kitchen. Great spot being right on the beach. Showers are great and nice to have the other facilities as well. FYI the kitchen has fridges and a stove but not many pots etc.
We did camping over Christmas period, the view from the f at its was awesome. The communal facilities can be improved but way better than having none.
