Tracey generously shares her mail run and adds the unique history of the local iwi, stories of her whānau, and amazing information about this magnificent awa. To travel the Whanganui with a very special mana whenua guide brings the awa and it's wairua to life. Learn about how the micro- climate enables growth of tropical crops and orchards, and produces high quality honey. Please add this trip to your to do list. Well worth the early start to get a perspective of a very special part of Aotearoa.
This was an amazing bike trip. Tracey took care of us and the places we stayed were great with home cooked meals and super friendly hosts.
My partner and I did the Mountain to Sea bicycle ride with Whanganui Tours and it was an amazing experience. Tracy Marshall who organized the tour and drove our gear and sometimes us between lodgings was a joy to be with. We learned so much about the local Maori culture and people, which added a dimension to the trip that was unforgettable! Her attention to details and having us stay with family members or long-time friends added so much to our trip. We will return! If you are considering doing this ride which I highly recommend, do it with Whanganui tours, you will not be disappointed!
A great experience. Tracey as mana whenua is key to the success. A warm generous and helpful attitude. The Whanganui River- the Mountains to the Sea- is a must do bike ride trip for those who love the land, and who wish to explore beauty, tikanga and wairua that are central to this part on New Zealand
Tracey provided such wonderful information about the area; was a safe driver; was happy to wear a mask thereby taking our safety seriously. She went the extra mile for us and was responsive, thoughtful and reliable. Highly recommended.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
A great, fun 3 days cycling Mountain to Sea for 7 of us oldies on E-bikes. Tracy was organised, attentive, very knowledgeable on local history, gave us access to the Convent and church in Jersualem, lives locally so knew most people from all the districts we cycled through, and was particularly supportive when we had to postpone original dates twice due to Covid. Highly recommended with stays at Pipririki and The Flying Fox being highlights. Alan, Cathy, Grant, Jenny, Pam, Quentin and Ralph
I would highly recommend Whanganui Tours to anyone. Tracey was so helpful and flexible with the booking process, extremely knowledgeable about the region and good fun to be with when transporting us for our rideVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Can't rate Whanganui Tours and Mail Run highly enough. Put together itinerary, accommodation and shuttle transfers with great communication throughout. Tracey was fabulous to deal with and checked in on us throughout the 4 days cycling. Had a great time cycling the Mountains to Sea Trail - would definitely recommend using Whanganui Tours and Mail Run to help plan and book if you thinking of cycling this trail.
Queens Birthday weekend - most awesome cycle from Turoa skifield to Wanganui. Great ride, spectacular scenery, super organisation by Tracey. Loved it.
I can't recommend Tracey highly enough. The logistics of this cycle trail make it slightly harder to do it without a service like hers, and her service is extraordinarily good. Her whanau come from the Whanganui River so she can give you an understanding of the area. She has worked in the travel industry and that shows but more than that, she epitomises manaakitanga - genuine hospitality and people before profit.
