What a fantastic place! We’ve just got back from Easter weekend there. The whole family had a great time and there were so many things for all of us to do at the holiday park itself. The facilities are so well maintained and everything was spotlessly clean despite it being Easter weekend and seemed like it was fully booked. The staff are incredible, from the moment we checked in till we left, they were happy, helpful and went the extra mile. They must have been exhausted as it was a busy weekend but they never showed it. This gave the place such a great atmosphere. On Sunday there was a HUGE Easter egg hunt for the kids as well as other Easter activities. We will definitely be returning and recommending Whanganui Top 10 to our friends.
Easter 2024! WOW. We have just got home from staying at Whanganui top 10 for 5 days and I don't have one complaint. The park was humming and it still felt spacious. The facilities were super clean, and the team at the park were working hard all weekend long to make sure everything was clean, wood topped up, spa pool sparkling and we every single team member was happy and smiling. Highly recommend and cannot wait to go back
We went as a large group and used a range of accommodation options within the campsite, all group members were impressed. The camp ground is well maintained and very tidy. The staff are very friendly. Excellent facilities, kids had an absolute ball. Great spot for families. Whanganui itself is a gem of a city to explore. Highly recommend this spot to all.
Friendly, helpful staff. We hadn't booked and arrived at 12pm having spent the last 4 days canoeing the river. They found a cabin that was ready and let us go straight in. We went for a self contained cabin which was clean, spacious, well laid out and warm. The facilities were extensive, pretty much everything there that you need. I'd recommend. Only thing is the distance from the nearest shops if you don't have a vehicle. But they do have bicycles to hire. Maybe an hourly rate would be good instead of half day rate of $30. !? So you can just run down to the shops and back. Thanks guys we enjoyed our stay.
Easily the best campsite we’ve been to so far! Pitches are not packed together like sardines unlike some other campsites we’ve been to. Huge kitchen, heaps of space and lots of indoor and sheltered outdoor space. The heated pool is a bonus. Also the toilets and shower are amazing, even has a hairdryer. Very kid friendly too!Hotel highlightsKid-friendly, Great value
Great place to stay, our family of 4 2 adults and 2 under 5 stayed in one of the self contained units. The unit was above our expectations, modern bathroom and kitchen with everything you need, smart TV. The only thing that would be great is some air con as it was really hot, so recommend bringing a fan in the hotter months. The staff were lovely, everyone we spoke with over the weekend were friendly and accommodating. The facilities were awesome with pools, playgrounds, jumping pad, even a games rooms that was like a mini Timezone. The grounds were tidy and well maintained, the roads around the holiday park are great for the kids to scooter and bike around. They had cool trikes that you could hire, lots of fun doing laps with the kids also a good workout haha. Would highly recommend Whanganui Top 10 as a place to stay, we will definitely be back. Thanks to the hosts and their team.
Top Notch holiday park, very accommodating for kids of all ages. Facilities are clean and Tidy. Awesome Easter Egg hunt for the kids over the Easter break our 2yr old loved it. Only improvement I can see would be a benefit is to replace the soft fall in Main playground and remove all the stones that are in there, this can be quite hurtful to kids If they fall.
The worst camping experience I've ever had in New Zealand. A person parked 30 cm away from tent the door, I did the right thing and told reception. Reception said most people are fine about moving. I asked the person to move and they refused. I went back to reception and to cut a long story short they backed the other camper 100 %. All I wanted was the car to move a metre apparently an unreasonable request. Had to pack up in the dark. Will never return. Avoid this place at all costs. *PS:Manager has twisted the facts to suit his agenda. My review stands.
This camp site is set within a large green landscaped setting backing onto the river Whanganui. It is absolutely perfect as a family site with a heated swimming pool, lots of play areas for children, and safe cycle boundary roads to cycle on. Because we are more senior in age and had booked to stay for 2 days on a powered site directly over looking the river and away from the main activities we found little to do but overlook the river and listen to the noise from the traffic on Highway 4. Conclusion: Wrong peg in wrong hole, so we left after staying one night.
Nice little place, staff were very helpful and friendly. Large kitchen and dining room were really nice additions, along with the availability of the hot tub. The small "aviary" was also a fun surprise to see by the reception area. Site was clean, bathrooms were clean, it was a good stayService: 5/5
