A very good information center down by the river, with plenty to do on site. A very big range of information and lovely helpful staff. Cafe in the building and well kept clean toilets. Plenty of parking nearby. There is also a restored tram offering rides next door to the center and cafe.
Used to live in this town a long time ago in 2010. Last visited in 2016. Good memories last forever. Hope to come here again.
Assumptions about my driving ability and whakapapa could have been handled in a much more pleasant manner. I only asked for a river map.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with Molly. She was so helpful and kind showing us all the places to go! The isite was in such a great place as well, we saw it as we were taking a walk along the river. Amazing service and so friendly!
