Stunning beach, great scenery. Unfortunately we only stopped by for a quick look. Hopefully we can come back one day in summer to enjoy the beach. The walk from the carpark is easy and it takes around 10 mins. Lovely spot for photos of our natural beautiful surroundings
Beautiful beach! Crystal clear water with stunning views on the walk down. A bit of a walk to get down to the beach but we’ll worth it.

One of the most beautiful beaches in NZ. We saw dolphins out in the bay. Not close in Whale Bay itself. It's a perfect beach for a safe swim. There's so much shade from the pohutakawa trees. The ten minute walk is very pretty too.
Fluffy sand, clear water, tiny fish, trees for shade, toilet facilities, calm water in a sheltered bay. Such warm water in the shallow part. Really beautiful beach.
We visited at a perfect time. Middle of winter & no one else around. Easy walk from car to beach. Fun wandering around the rocks & enjoying the ocean views & smells. Newish toilet block available. Parking at the top, don't leave valuables in the car just in case. Unfortunately no dogs allow.

Great beach only a short walk from the carpark. It's a little slice of heaven. Sheltered and great for a swim. Good walking tracks towards matapouri over the headlands.
Lovely place, close to car park. CCTV on car park apparently because of robbery. Good to swim but careful with occasional blue bottle jellyfish.
