Everything was great, the receptionist was nice and helpful getting an upgrade last minute. The location is perfect, the facilities are big and clean. The kitchen is well organized and equipped. Definitely I will recommend this place to stay. Good price and quality.
Terrible showers. There is barely water coming out of them plus it switches from a bit warm to Ice cold every 20/30 seconds. The showers/toilets could be better cleaned. The kitchen is somewhat okay. But there is way too little space when it's busy in the park.nnThe people at the office where somewhat nice when we arrived.nThe only plus side is the amazing surroundings....
As with others the men's showers are weak, this place is great for those wanting to warm up, clean off and cook between hikes. The staff are friendly and the facility was clean. Our tent was oversize but they helped us accommodate it in motorhome site pegless however. The tent sites suit the age and use as a previous ski and hike base camp.
We booked a room in the lodge so have no experience of the cabins which look lovely as do the campervan sites. The lodge is very basic read it could do with a lick of paint and certainly geared to budget travellers. I do think the kitchen here is better than the main facility as it is quieter and therefore easier to use - well equipped and clearly is geared for groups. Overall clean if not a little tired. We were comfortable and could hire sheets for the mattresses plus there were pillowcases available. Staff super friendly and helpful and can help with information on booking a shuttle service that picks up at the entrance to the Holiday Park. Also from the Park there are a number of walks to be had.
Our camping experience had its ups and downs. Staying in the car was convenient, but the shared facilities were a mixed bag. The women's bathroom was reasonably clean, but my husband had a different story. The men's toilets were consistently clogged, and the showers were practically unusable. On a positive note, the kitchen, while outdated, had all the essentials. It would be great if the cleanliness issue could be addressed more frequently for a more enjoyable stay.
