Welcome to the Westland Recreation Centre's Facebook page. The purpose of this page is to:

- Keep you updated with the Centre's latest news, timetable and event information
- Answer any questions you may have about our services and classes

We'll do our best to answer any queries you may have about our Centre, services or classes. We might ask you to contact us by email or phone if we are unable to reply on Facebook.

At the moment this page is monitored between 8.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. For queries outside of those hours, please phone the Westland Recreation Centre directly on 03 768 9076.

"The Westland Recreation Centre is the sports and recreation hub of Greymouth and wider region. It has swimming pools, hydroslides, spa, sauna, gym, group fitness classes, sports stadium for multi sporting codes, an activity/meeting room and much more.Our gym is open from 5am to 10pm, Monday to Friday. The pools are open 6am to 9pm, Monday to Friday. Our weekend hours are 7am to 7pm.We look forward to seeing you!"

Great value and facilities. Got a student swim $4.20 which gave access to pool, spa and sauna. Awesome facility for the price.
Not much swimming places in Greymouth, so this pool is the most convenient option and they have a few but very cool and fun activities.
Great place and super staff, we got caught with a quiet day and not much planned. Ended up staying in the pool for about 2 hours
Very good service, they didn't have what I wanted...looked on their computer and sent me to the "enemy" I don't drink but thank you liquor land Greymouth.
For 5 dolars its really nice place as traveler. Not just have a shower but also swim in a pool, have sauna. You can sneak for 1 slide when they come and say you cant do that if you havent payed.
Called into this new complex as visitors to Greymouth. Fantastic, well done Greymouth.
Wonderful day for West Coast special Olympics Basketball event, everyone loved it.
Great facilities and friendly staff. The lap pool seemed very clean far less chlorinated than others I’ve used, was heated to a good temperature and I was impressed how many lifeguards were around even in winter. The change room facilities are also excellent. Good range of opening hours and a casual visit to pool was a reasonable price and they accept card payment.
Fairly good place only gripe is the hot spa pool isn't always hot same with the therapy pool isn't always hot, sauna is though. But mens changing room showers are always tepid to cold so pays to use the family room showers if you need a warm shower, which means waiting because everyone else is wanting a decent shower too. Also the hydrotherapy pool is also the kids paddle pool so it has a lot of code brown incidences which shuts it down for two hours at a time. But overall it is a great asset to the coast. Give it a 5/10 comparison to others.
Great place to kill some time with the kiddies and tier them out Friendly staff. Spa is a little cold for a "spa" but still love it.
