Western Heights High School is a state co-educational secondary school located in the northwestern suburbs of Rotorua, New Zealand. Hi, I have attended the school as an Indian for about 9 months and am leaving as I'm moving countries. I moved from India to Whhs directly. I can say that the teachers in the school are really nice and supporting. They give us lots of books to keep up and tell us how to get more credits. From the side of the teachers, they all are very good.. Lunches are free but as an Indian, they are bland and cold. There is no fees in the school you have to buy your own uniform and books btw There is top gym and bottom gym, swimming pools and lots of clubs like badminton, rugby, volleyball, netball and more. I suggest you to join clubs to gather more friends. The school has different nationalities including Srilankans, Chinese, Indians, Koreans, Americans, etc. WHEN YOU COME HERE, ASK FOR A MAP FROM THE RECEPTION. The main difference is from Indian schools is that they have no reserved rooms for classes. You have to go to different rooms, as per your timetable. when you come here, there is no cafeteria for eating your food, so you should go outside to eat OR check your subject classes and you can eat inside. I have found that the ARPAarts, CIEMcam maths,Geography classes are open. Be sure to not enter classes that you dont have on your timetable or youll get a scolding. As an Indian, bestfriends tend to hold hands and stuff like that. But here, everything like that is considered gay, fyi. When you come here, you'll find that people staring at you, just get used it lol, not because they dont like you, ig they are just like that. so pros- Cambridge course are here Free lunch No fees Good friendships Good teachers con- expensive uniform - free lunch is bland - vaping in toilets

i get bullied ‼‼ and teachers do nothing abt it, theres a lot of grumpy teachers too, sort it out pls and IM SICK OF TEACHERS YELLING AT ME TO GET OUT THE TOILET WHEN IM USING IT LIKE BRO, i have anxiety and u guys dont make it a safe space for us
Went here as a kid. BULLIES are a norm. Even teacher favorites. You can succeed if your liked. Found it hard to learn sometimes and when asked for help, got the frustrated sigh and to meet someone at the library by the dean at the time. Thankfully I ended up getting a scholarship because one teacher; believed in me. I hope it's gotten better, checked out the teacher list and can't seem to find any of my old teachers there. Good school, just tons of favoritism.
I got bullied and the teachers took me behind school and hit me with a metal bat for 5 hours 100% recommend pic related
Western Heights High School comes with my highest recommendation. My son has absolutely thrived since attending this school. He loves his teachers and everything about the school. As a parent if ever I need to ask a question or need help with something, my answers are given immediately. I feel supported and part of the WHHS Whanau! Best choice I ever made was placing Sebastian into my old school. Thank you WHHS

Nice teachers and a friendly International team. Students have the chance to practice sports such as hockey.
I like this place as I went to this school in my younger days, and now my kids go their. My visit at western heights reminds me allot of my childhood memories, I rate this place a 4 Star
