Cool place to experience the olden age living
Neat set up with plenty to see, a really good collection of unique and well-preserved items with plenty to read as the audio promts weren't working. The Cafe food was reasonable although the other tables needed to be cleared, we were 1 of 2 customers for the 45 mins we were there, hence the 4 star rating. Fun day for the whole family
It has been almost 18 years since we last visited. Very run down. Lacking signage for the exhibits, and insufficient explanation for items simply labelled - example; A Wheel Topper... No explanation, we had to Google it. A bit over priced for entry, even concidering the 25% discount for purchasing tickets on line. I appreciate we are only just post Covid-19, but the range of food available in the cafe was extremely limited and over priced. Did not enjoy as much as 18 years ago.
Pretty cool place with heaps of info about the old gold mining days & forestry workers.
Great friendly helpful staff and service, made for a great experience in a shantytown setting 9/10
