It was a very fun place for both adults and kids! I love how they organised areas for little ones to run around. Will def need to bring your kids here to learn through play!nLove those New Zealand birds, the sheep, the pig, the red panda, and the lion!nnYou can see the lion pretty close
A great zoo, worth visiting a lot of times. Don’t forget to bring snacks and drinks, the place is quite big and it’s not always all the cafes are open. Lots of space for the kids to run around. If you want to book any encounters, be sure to do it a couple of weeks beforehand since they run out quickly.
Amazing place on a sunny day, you'll need good walking shoes as very steep in areas much like most of Wellington. The staff talks were great, very knowledgeable and very approachable staff. I watched a close encounter with meercats and looked amazing.nnYou get very close to the animals here. Beautiful Grounds to walk around, plenty of shade spots.nnI would certainly reccommend this as a must do that isint well publicised in Wellington or tourist publications.nnOnly downside was a few exhibits were closed as was the refreshment spot inside the zoo.
Wonderful zoo, everyone is so kind and you can tell they really care about their work whether it’s educating the public or enriching the animals lives. Love all of the conservation messages that are catered to each habitat, all of which were designed for each species specifically. The interactive encounters are also amazing and highly ethical, one of the highlights of our trip!
Great day at the zoo. Managed to get to all of the talks we wanted to easily with plenty of time in between. Being able to see the snow leopard up so close was amazing.
