Wellington Water provides water treatment and supply, wastewater and stormwater management services to its clients in the Wellington Region (New Zealand).
We currently manage more than 6,500km of pipes, 138 reservoirs,249 pump stations and four water treatment plants for them. We supply on average 140 million litres of water a day for 400,000 people.
Wellington Water was established in September 2014 and was formed by the merger of Greater Wellington Regional Council’s water supply group with Capacity Infrastructure Services, which was owned by Hutt, Porirua, Upper Hutt and Wellington city councils. The merger is effective from 19 September.
