Look no further for a Wellington Holiday park! The facilities were spectacular & well maintained, with spectacular mountain views while being close to the city. We arrived a bit travel-worn, but after 5 minutes of chatting with Marty our spectacular camp host our day took a 180 and we left check-in feeling rejuvenated. We stayed for just a night before taking the ferry, but wish we had been able to stay longer
The rooms are a bit old. However clean and well maintained.nBunk bead had a very thin mattress.nOutside of the campground, there is nothing in walking distance.nThe children's playground seems very well assorted.nBathroom is clean and good water pressure in the shower.
The facilities were top notch: 1 the huge laundry room with a big table to fold clothes and even ironing stations, but you need 6$ in 2$ coins for each machine. 2 huge showers with an anti-chamber with a bench and a mirror 3 Huge kitchen and bbq area. The staff was very friendly. Everything was clean.
Nice stay as always with a Top10. Unfortunately the rain was horrific and most of the sites were flooded but lucky we were in a massive campervan.nGreat amenities and super clean bathrooms and kitchens. Games room on-site for the kids and a bookable hot tub for those cold or miserable days.nA wee way out of Wellington than I'd prefer but I guess its difficult having a holiday park in the middle of a big and growing capital city!
Huge park and only 20 mins from the ferry to the South Island. This facility is a bit confusing when you drive into it as looks like you are at a recreational center but you are going the right way.nnIt has a massive reception with everything you could possibly need and the staff was super friendly and helpful.nnCame back for 1 night with very late check in and everything was emailed to us and they had a drop box for map and gate code. Very efficient and appreciative. nnThe kitchen, bathrooms and showers are immaculate with 2 big stoves and lots of washing stations. Tons of seating for everyone. Must bring your own cooking pots and utensils as didnt see any. My only wish was hat they had a garbage inside or right out the door.nnWe are coming back in 1 week, late check-in and they were kind of enough to put us in our same sites so would be easy to park. Thank you!nnBonus: we pulled into our site and next to ours was a mom and dad with 8 little baby ducks sleeping on the grass. So adorable.
