My first trip on the interislander, all directions were clear and easy to follow, the staff and crew were great. They even provided fine weather and calm seas for the crossing.
This is our first time on the ferry and we also take the car with us.nnWe made an order for us and for the car on the site, the process is simple.nnWe booked a ferry for 13:00 so according to the schedule we will arrive in Picton around 16:30.  We received information to arrive with the vehicle from 10:00 in the morning until 12:00, after 12:00 the process of boarding the vehicles to the ferry takes place.nnWe arrived at 11:20 and stood in line. In practice we started the process of traveling towards the ferry after 13:00, without any explanation, it would have been desirable for them to pass between the waiting cars and update us, sitting for hours in the car standing in the hot sun. Worse for those who arrived at 10:00.nnDisappointing.nnThe ferry started sailing at 13:30.
This is the only option to get across islands, so it’s not that bad, they did delay our sailing by 1.5 hours making us a bit late for our plans. While on board they were doing mandatory crew training so service in the cafeterias was closed for a good portion of the trip. View was beautiful though!
Very well organized, play area for the children kept the kids occupied. Friendly staff great experience. Kids wanted to go back.
Pretty long wait to get a board. The service has been great though and the boat was well kept. Booked the premium lounge which was pretty cool. Very nice way to experience things!
