The Welcome Bay Community Centre is located behind the Welcome Bay Community hall. It is a hive of activity delivering services to the community. The Centre is run as an Incorporated Society and all funding is created through donations and grants. The aim of the centre is to foster the interests of the residents of Welcome Bay and neighbouring suburbs by establishing a community-based facility, including advice and assistance, and the management and operation of a centrally located community meeting and drop-in centre.
Centre offers:

* Food Bank Referrals
* Curtain Bank Referrals
* Budget Advice and Social Support: Weds 9.30am – 12 noon
* Justice of the Peace (JP Clinic) Weds 1.00 – 3.00pm
*School Holiday Programme: – (check at the office for details)
*Business Network Breakfasts and lunches
*Annual family events at Tye Park: Tye Park Fiesta, Night Owl Outdoor Cinema
*Community Emergency Response Planning Team
The Welcome Bay Community Plan
The need for better facilities and services to make a community modern and vibrant is what the Welcome Bay Community Plan is all about. Residents and businesses in Welcome Bay have identified these needs in public forums and surveys.
We Welcome,Welcome Bay residents and businesses to participate in one of four specialised targeted forums to be established, to put the Welcome Bay Community Plan into ACTION. The forums are;
1 The Community Forum, focusing on social development
2 The Welcome Bay Business Network, Providing greater awareness and utilisation of local home-based businesses, retailers, farming and horticulture, service providers and professional services within Welcome Bay.
3 The Environment Forum, directed to develop, improve and enhance the physical and natural features of Welcome Bay
4 The Rangatahi/Youth and Cultural Forum, Focusing on formulating and fostering positive outcomes for young people and their families/whanau and to promote cultural interaction, awareness and participation within Welcome Bay.
