While a bit dated, the room was very clean and had everthing we needed. The host was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are set well back from the main highway so it was very quiet with very little road noise. Host recommended Lakes pizza which was very good.
We stayed at the Wayside Motels over the Christmas season having booked two units for our family. The warm welcome we received from Mike matched the helpful attention Charlotte had given us throughout the booking process. The units are spotlessly clean and well appointed - very comfy beds - and the motel is very close to a cafe, fruit and vege shop, bakery etc. I highly recommend this motel for the price, convenience, friendly owners, and comfortable rooms. Hope to stay again!
Rang just before 9pm as we were travelling. We were treated lovely right from initial call. We were only 5 mins away and the manager had already been and warmed up our room. I struggle with hard mattresses but it wasn’t too bad and there was an extremely soft blanket I could use to soften it. So convenient to State Highway 1 but so quiet. Would recommend and stay again.
This motel is one of the top three motel rooms I've ever stayed in and I'm nearly 50 years of age...that's in Australia and here...certainly the best one we stayed at on our trip in New Zealand.nThe mattress has actually fixed my back from the previous motel rooms that we stayed in elsewhere on our trip.nWe got the top of the line room and it was so worth it... had everything and really spacious.nThe television has a normal remote control as well making it easy to use. The help and availability from the manager was really comforting as well...so friendly.nPut a smile on the dial of my dearest and made for a great evening for the both of us.nOnly 200 metres from the only pub in town too...5 stars.
We have just stayed at the Wayside motel for two nights. We had a studio room and it has to be the best place we’ve stayed in for the type of room. It was very clean, very warm, comfortable bed with crisp sheets. Very quiet and has everything we needed. Thanks for the lovely stay.
