Water world is a fantasy world for kids to enjoy in water for a full day. It is an amazing place to spend your time with family and kids. It’s provides a variety of services those who want to learn swimming, water gymnastics, swimming practices, water amusement for kids , relaxation area , cafeteria, and gym. It is well maintained, fully disciplined area. Moreover neat and cleanliness is another appreciative factor of this place. Welcome for all ….enjoy at least one day with Water-world.
Waterworld Hamilton is a great facility with something for everyone. Very popular and can get quite busy especially if there is a swim competition on. Changing rooms were clean and pools too. Best to get there early.
I went on Thursday 27 April 2023 to Waterworld, Te Rapa, Hamilton Central... I swam in the hydrotherapy pool. I found it's great therapy and I love the spa pool in the pool and the air vents alongside the pool is relaxing and soothing. I have back and hip problems. I had dislocated my right disc in the lumbar spine region and a few years ago I was diagnosed with arthritis in my hips....so I whenever I'm feeling stressed I get pain in my shoulders and neck down my spine to the small in my back...and when it's cold outside I get sore hips... I guess I need to be prepared for hip surgery in my later years but for now it's manageable. I find wearing a back-brace can help the neck and shoulders and the posture or a visit to the physiotherapist is beneficial to have the neck and shoulders strapped for more support as well ‍ .
Good, friendly and helpful staff. Ample parking, lots of pool choices for different kid age. Great place to chill on a hot day. Big pools and spaces inside with lots of grand stand type of seating for spectators who don't want to swim. Choices of pools inside and outside. Close to Te Rapa and City Centre so popular with locals. The only issue many customers had at level 2 was the receptionists only allocate/release 10 spaces for hydroslides, at $5 per person for one hour only. No problems here. But you have to queue up again at the counter from the outside at "quarter to" each hour, for example 1245pm, 145pm 245 pm and so on. But the issue here is they started selling those 10 tickets to people who came in the door at around "20 to" each hour say 1240pm, 140pm 240pm and so on, so many people who are already inside, went to join the queue at quarter to and only to be told hydroslides tickets are all gone and they have missed out, requeue again in an hours time. I know the pool is owned by the coucile and we have to allow for some beauracratic ways of doing things but come on, this rule about getting hydroslide tickets need to be reviewed and changed. It also put counter staff in the path of unhappy customers. Fair enough, first in first serve. But when people paying for the entry fees, they should be allowed to buy hydroslides tickets as well but allocate a session if current session of 10 spaces are taken. No rejoining of the queue is required. No brainers really.
Really great swimming pools , was clean , staff are amazing, lots of life guards , the kids love the hydroslides . Great seating areas, BBQ are available. Lil cafe is good food was really nice .
The pools are great WHEN you can get in them. The toddler pool is shut all morning on the weekends so we can't go swimming with our two children who nap in the afternoon. When asking the staff when it would be available to the public as its a PUBLIC pool they told us to drive to Te awamutu. Hamilton City Council also don't see an issue with this. Apparently it's fine to not have public pools in Hamilton.
Stopped off here with my son on our way through to Auckland on a hot day. Perfect place to cool down for an hour and a half and burn off some energy for the rest of the car ride. Clean facilities, friendly staff.
Waterworld service is absolutely horrible. I have tried to get in contact with them about swimming lessons for over 2 weeks. I’ve sent a total of 3 emails and made 5 phone calls to try get a response to my emails. Everytime someone picks up the phone they say they will pass on my message to the learn to swim manager and they let me know she has been in every day for the 2 weeks I’ve called. The people on the phone are incredibly nice. The learn to swim manager however has ignored all my emails and phone calls for 2 weeks. Her name is Caitlin and the service is non-existent. If this is how they treat their customers then I’m not sure how she even has a job. I can happily spend my money elsewhere but for futures sake maybe just respond with a simple “no” rather than ignoring someone. Absolutely horrible! Would never recommend.
The gym here is fantastic. Not too busy, friendly and helpful staff. A good mix of different gym goers which makes for an inclusive and comfortable environment.
Staff let this place down, lifeguards looked like they'd rather be anywhere else, clearly not watching what was happening in the pool or hydroslides; Had an injury occur within our group, not one staff member checked that she was okay, even though I went to the counter asking for an ice pack and stating she was hurt and gone into shock. Had her literally laying in stable side position in the entry way and NOT ONE staff member checked she was OK. Glad we were trained in first aid and had a first aid kit in the car. Very disappointing from beginning to end. Didn't help that we paid full price and the bigger pool was closed to the public.
