"**Please note that adoptions are by appointment only**The Whanganui Centre covers a large area including Whanganui city, Bulls, Marton, Hunterville and the Ruapehu region. Our purpose built facilities include social cat rooms with outdoor enclosures housing our many vulnerable cats that need our assistance. We also have dogs and puppies and a variety of other animals available for adoption.Our team includes three staff and over 30 valued volunteers and fosterers. Our local supporters group organize community events throughout the year including our Op Shop fashion parade, Centre Open Day and Annual Appeal."

Great staff, great work being done & I got the best kitten ever 'Nico' & even though we had a few health issues they covered everything! Only thing I find difficult was trying to contact them by phone. Would like to get another onr just like him for grandson!

Amazing staff. So good with the animals and they go the extra mile to ensure they are matched with the right family. Also to check the new home is safe and ready for their new pet. We got our forever dog from them 3 years ago and she is the best thing that ever happened to our whanau. She is a perfect fit. We will aways be grateful

Very good service went out of the way to help. Took a puppy on trial but didn't work out for us they were very friendly and did not make us feel uncomfortable with our decision.
Adopted “Beaver” re named as Bertie! Immaculate facilities , friendly and helpful staff, had plenty of time to choose the CUTEST black kitten who has totally settled in. All very happy.

Excellent service. Always plenty of knowledge about animal healthcare. Great having the background information on your pet stores in their systems to check when last treatments are. Love that you can buy single flea treatments at a great price. Clean and tidy premise with great parking.
Adopted "EVIE" now Named "HARLI" just over acweek ago now. She is beautiful & her Personality is really coming out proving her to be Funny, cute & a real Sweetheart. Staff here are really helpful & great to the Animals too. 5* all round.
