"There are many reasons to make Wanaka Lakeview Holiday Park your base when you come to Wanaka. One of the main ones has to be the fact that we are walking distance 10 minutes to the centre of town. We’re also handy to the lake, only a couple of minutes down the road, and we’re central to the various attractions available in the area. The park has served the Wanaka area for many years by offering clean and affordable accommodation that will suit all budgets. We are always looking for ways to offer our guests the best experience, for example:We have recently upgraded to offer unlimited, free wifi to all guests.Beware, Wanaka has a habit of getting under your skin and you will keep extending your stayday after day."

Good family holiday park to stay. We stayed in a cabin and it was spacious and clean. Facilities were really clean and staff were really friendly as well. Our kids loved the place and playing in the playground. Location was in the middle of the town and just 5 to 10 min walk to the lake. We would definitely stay again in future.Rooms: 5/5
Nice holiday parc, Close to lake and the village of Wanaka. Clean and good toilets and showers. Big kitchen with electric plates. Reasonable tent spots not isolated from each other. Good information at reception. Nice place to get drinking water. Also close to doc fir experienced advices walks.
We stayed here 3 nights in total. The first two nights felt very cramped. One kitchen open but it was manic inside. The noise level kept getting higher and higher. The wait to use the facilities because everyone wants to cook or wash their dishes. It got so bad I just went and hid in my tent. The kitchen is very clean, but make sure you label as it will go missing! Biggest problem is unlike other campgrounds they don't leave labels and pens in the kitchen for you to use. You got to go all the way back to the office. Make sure you date them or it will be taken away as we found out! Only one set of bathrooms available too. At night the girls bathroom is flooded by the showers. I think one is blocked. The toilets in the morning are horrendous. Wait to get in and not well ventilated. They have more facilities but all were closed. I get it isn't as busy but it sure was busy enough to keep more open. We used the spa on the second night for $40 for the hour. It is a fishbowl and felt like everyone was watching us, not exactly relaxing. There was also a lot of dead skin and hair in the spa. It really needs to be emptied and refilled. Apart from all that it is a nice location, friendly helpful staff. But make sure you abide to the rules here!
What a great campsite. We camp every year and usually in Naseby, but the older kids wanted to be in Wanaka, so thank you for providing such a great set up. The facilities are easily the most modern and clean ones that we have ever used. We plan to return next year.
The facilities are new and spacious. The kitchen is big with many work stations, stoves, ovens, sinks and many tables to sit. Everyone was enjoying and busy with their cooking in the kitchen. The park also has a lovely playground for the kids. The wifi was also good. We enjoyed our 3 days stay.
Parked up our camper van for two nights here. Great campsite. Very clean toilet and showers facilities. A few minutes walking distance to Wanaka bars and restaurants. Would definitely recommend. Nearby activities: Loads of stuff to do in Wanaka
Location is great, 10min walk to main town area. Toilet and shower area very messy. Worse for cleanliness in all of the 6 campsite we stayed at. Cleaning was optional which was a shame as the rest if the site was good.Service: 2/5
Very convenient location with a 10-15min walk to the centre of town. However, it hasnt got a great welcoming feeling I hope from a kiwi campsite. The kitchen is really busy even though there were a fair few sites free, and no utensils or pots etc are provided, fine for us but just not very welcoming. The bathrooms seemed consistently smelly, a bit dirty dead bugs, water on the floor and tissue paper on the floor of every toilet, I could have just been unlucky but I couldn’t work out when they were cleaned because it didn’t look it, a real lack of ventilation, with very low shower heads and if you’re really tall could see into the shower next to you. Laundry is fine but only cold wash. The view is of the lake is only just past other buildings and fields if you’re lucky. The staff are fine but nothing particularly welcoming or friendly. If it wasn’t for the great location to town it be bad but it’s absolutely fine. It’s the standard campervan price of $30pp
Large spaces for our 5x5 meter monstrosity of a ford ranger with two tents on top of it. Facilities more than adequate for camping, clean showers, communal kitchen etc. Views of the mountains and stars absolutely fantastic. Great place we would definitely use again!
We have been camping at the Wanaka Lakeview Holiday Park for many years and always enjoy our stay. Facilities are well kept and clean, and the staff are great. Good play equipment for the kids. Park is walking distance to town which is handy.Service: 5/5
