We did the Wanaka Max yesterday. What an incredible experience with Wanaka helicopters! Everyone made us feel comfortable. Mike our pilot explained us the environment while flying over the landscapes. We were lucky to have a gorgeous weather - We highly recommend everyone to book this experience with them ! We're a photo/video elopement team and we recently had a flight with Wanaka Helicopters for an elopement photoshoot and it was amazing! The whole team was so lovely to work with! We had a few days we couldn't fly due to poor weather and the team was incredible in ensuring we got our dream landing. 100% would recommend them to anyone wanting to have an elopement shoot or any other scenic flight! Cannot wait to come back.
I would leave 10 stars if I could! Pete was an absolutely fantastic pilot, guide and chef for our journey. Helicopter tour over New Zealand was at the top of my bucket list and it did not disappoint. Amy was also so welcoming, and accommodating for our group. You can bet we’ll be talking about you guys for the rest of our lives!
From Nikki in the ground team, to Chris piloting the helicopter - all the staff at Wanaka Helicopters were welcoming, professional and super accommodating! The flight was exhilarating and so insightful - the formation of glaciers and their changing forms were showcased up close and well explained. Wanaka Helicopters is a small company located at the airport. We decided to book a flight on short notice, and it was the best decision ever. Our pilot Jason, but also the really kind lady at the reception were absolutely gorgeous and took care of us. The price we paid and the value amazing views we got, was more than fair! Jason is not only a pilot, he provided us a lot of facts and figures around Wanaka and the region during our flight. We highly recommend this company, and we would definitely do it again! Thank you so much!
Did the Wanaka Max were unable to do Amazing Aspiring due to the weather. Extremely nice staff, very accommodating and made all the necessary changes to make sure we got our scenic flight in even with the bad weather!! Would definitely recommend.
From our pilot Mike to Amy who coordinated the flight, it was amazing! My wife and I decided to give it a go while on our honeymoon, and are very happy we did! Mike did an excellent job piloting and making sure it was a smooth ride, and was also a great "tour guide". Highly recommend using Wanaka Helicopters!
Pete and Amy were absolutely fantastic. We did a four-hour tour and it was one of the highlights of my life. In fact, I shared while on the tour, “There are only a few moments in life where you stop and think it just might not get any better than this right now. This is one of those moments for me”. Genuinely. Further, Amy was so kind as to call area hotels and find a place for us to stay while a very busy conference was happening in Wanaka. She found us the last two rooms available which were also great. I already look forward to our next trip!
We had some wedding photos with Simon as our pilot last month and it was such an incredible experience! We couldn’t recommend Simon or Wanaka Helicopters more!
