Newly built in 2017, you will love canopy glamping inside our luxury safari tent. Glamping comes from ‘glamorous’ and ‘camping’. There is glamour of course, but there are still elements of camping. These are often the best parts of the holiday, like sitting under the stars and toasting marshmallows over a fire. Glamping is all about the experience. You’ll enjoy the great outdoors without giving up on any of the luxuries of home.

Had such a wonderful stay here. The views were absolutely impeccable! We loved using their outdoor pizza oven which was super easy to start up. Aside from the views, the beds were insanely comfortable. We wished we could have stayed many more nights. The entire experience felt extremely luxurious and was the best way to get away from the city. P.S. once you get into their outdoor tubs you’ll never want to get out.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Waitomo Hilltop Glamping! We went for our anniversary and It was the perfect way to spend some quality time together. The team had great communication , everything was well thought out and their attention to detail made our stay very special and one to remember. Highly recommended! The only thing we would say is that we wish we knew how incredible it would be before we went as we would have booked for 2 nights instead of just 1!
Our stay was AMAZING! My husband and I stayed for a night as part of our honeymoon and the attention to detail made this night perfect. We loved the beautiful bath and bath bombs, the cozy touches such as cuddly robes, the smores kit, my husband loved lighting the braziers and pizza oven. Everything was beautifully decorated and thought of! The projector was a great way to end the night. Thank you so much
So good! Booked a surprise getaway for my wife’s birthday and she absolutely loved it! Emily has paid so much attention to every little detail. The decor is fantastic, the place well maintained and excellently presented, and there are so many thoughtful touches that really enhance the stay. Well worth the expense! You have to experience it to really get a feel for why everyone raves about this place.
We had such an amazing stay here at Waitomo Hilltop Glamping. The location is in such a great spot with a beautiful panoramic view of the surrounding area. All the amenities were lush and we especially loved sitting on the beanbags in front if the outdoor fire enjoying a glass of wine and the pizza we made in the pizza oven. Would highly recommend staying here, you won't regret it!
The most amazing escape from day to day life and reality! My friend and I enjoyed a night away soaking our stresses away in the tubs overlooking the most amazing views! We struggled a tad with getting the fires going and remaining going to boost the indoor heating for our June stay - we’re fire lighting novices! so my only recommendation in winter months would be to have the fire lit/toasty warm for your guests to arrive to. Bedding was amazingly comfy, super warm with lovely body products, candles and marshmallows for the pizza oven. Every little touch to make your time away memorable was thought about and evident. Glamping at its best - thanks so much!
Perfect getaway! Such an amazing place. The hike to get there with luggage was worth it once you reach the top and relax. Tip: take all your goodies with you; warm clothes, champagne and nibbles and you won't want to leave. The best bath views ever!!Rooms: 5/5
My partner got this for me as a Christmas present. It was the perfect winter weekend escape without our kids. The tent itself was super luxurious, and super warm. The baths outside had an amazing view, and the robes kept us toasty afterwards. All in all an awesome escape, and the fresh home baked bread was a lovely touch!

We had a one night stay here in January during a road trip through the Waitomo area, and it was absolutely fabulous. The views are incredible, the tent is amazing and super luxurious, and the outdoor bath looking at the stars just made it magical. We also pre-ordered a gourmet pizza which was incredibly tasty. Waitomo Hilltop Glamping is an absolute must in NZ!
