Ahu Whenua Trust located on the corner of Hamurana and Waiteti Rds with repo/wetland called Okurarora which has an ephemeral spring that is it comes and goes depending on the weather. Work has been done on the wetland 2014,2015,2016 and the area has been fenced, as it also has an important wahi tapu. But more work is due, weed busting and more planting.
The land is 2.2 hectares and is currently grazed by a local farmer. There are approximately 70 owners and this latest hui is to talk with owners about options for land use not just for this trust but potentially with our neighbours too
