Excellent spot for a walk, great view especially with a summer sunset, very clean and relatively quiet with a nice variety of shells and driftwood. An easy walk between road and beach, plenty of access points, easy to lose track of time with the view, the breeze.
Beautiful sandy beach with great driftwood that's easy to collect for the garden. If there's firm sand it's an easy drive onto the actual beach making it fully accessible and dogs adore being able to explore off leash when there's not many people around. Two large carparks at entry for when the sand is soft if you don't have four wheel drive.
A lovely beach side community, growing by the month. A very popular place for new community housing, with many house and land packages available.nTypical Kapiti Coast ocean beach, with rolling sand dunes
Always a restless sea. Cars are allowed on the beach but on our last visit a series of storms had littered the beach with tree trunks etcnNew surf life saving club rooms are nearly completed. The earlier one has been half submerged by the sand dune movement. Unusually this movement is TOWARDS the sea. Most places the sand dunes March inland.nThe old club rooms are now about 1-200 metres from the beach.
A lovely place to ride horses. Other people with dogs, walking, bbqs etc. I am amazed that the beach sand dunes has Increased. It means that the Surf life saving club had to built closer to the beach. This would be a great place to have a quick restaurant or burger bar with coffee, of course. Even if it was only summer. So many people enjoy this beach
