Lots of people parked on the beach. one of the few two wheel drive friendly ones out there but i suppose it depends on the weather. Parking is available everywhere. Surf live saving out watching people swim between the flags. Looks like a great place to watch the sunset. Very popular beach
Lovely NZ beach, the surf has quite a strong current so be careful. Big carpar woth6 well kept toilets. You can drive onto the beach, but i wouldn't recommend without a 4 wheel drivenFreedom camped overnight, no signs saying you couldn't.
Beautiful wide beach with great walks through forests when it is too windy. Lived discovering Waitareres history and the shipwreck can be still seen in the dunes.
Excellent spot for a walk, great view especially with a summer sunset, very clean and relatively quiet with a nice variety of shells and driftwood. An easy walk between road and beach, plenty of access points, easy to lose track of time with the view, the breeze.
Beautiful sandy beach with great driftwood that's easy to collect for the garden. If there's firm sand it's an easy drive onto the actual beach making it fully accessible and dogs adore being able to explore off leash when there's not many people around. Two large carparks at entry for when the sand is soft if you don't have four wheel drive.
