A special place. Much of the service vigil mass, Saturdays, 5 PM is conducted in te reo Māori English translation available. Catholic churches are few and far-between in Northland so this is a wonderful place to go if you’re in the Whangaroa Harbour area.
The Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Waitaruke is a lovely little spot. Quiet, peaceful. Mass on Saturday evening is at 5pm. Lovy people in the congregation. The ladies make you very welcome and Father Trenwith is a very nice Priest. His homilies are always interesting and enlightening. So grateful whenever i get to visit.
Sacred Heart Catholic Church Waitãruke, is small and cosy Catholic church. There is a 5pm vigil mass on Saturday. Fr Tony King-Archer celebrated mass. The church is next to a school. Continue your drive in and you should see the church building
I love this area. Used to stay at the facility few years ago. Now visit a dear friend next to the complex
